Fallen well done for trying to give blood. I'm another one who's not allowed to give blood after having a transfusion when DD was born. I also feel guilty about not giving like J-M.

I have terrible veins and always bruise as they can never find one first (or second usually) time. Best person I ever had surprisingly was a trainee phlebotomist. He had to do so many supervised blood takings befor he was allowed to do it by himself. My mum (I was a teenager at the time) was asked and agreed that it was okay for him to "try" on me (thanks mum!!) and he's the only one who has never bruised me.
    Goals for February

I'm a bit confused :o I've taken what I've paid off away from my total debt (on my signature) and compared it to what I actually owe to cc and loan and they're £124 different. I actually owe £124 less or have paid off £124 that I haven't declared. What should I do peeps? :)

When I first started I added in all the interest I'd pay up to xmas and used that as my total for the year. But rather than update what I've actually paid, I calculate what I have left to pay (ignore interest paid as its money down the drain. Now if my signature says 100/1200 then it means i have 1100 to pay, even though i've probably paid 400. Does that make sense?

Everyone does it different, i just prefer it that way. No nasty shock at the end cos i haven't thought about interest.

Although it means my % is way down & it looks like i'm not doing well!

Put some 99p things on fleabay last night, more tonight :)

Pretend you haven't noticed and have it as a big surprise when you finish. Although I think I'd declare it, maybe a dd came out that you hadn't accounted for, or you overestimated the interest?

Thanks everyone, I took my plaster off and I have my normal mark and two extras where you can see he came out the vein again sigh. The whole thing looks like its going to bruise so I shall proudly display my war wound and pretend that anything on it hurts haha. Making the most of it and lying on the sofa doing nothing but reading :) hope you're all ok.

Glad you're ok fallen, I am soooo impressed that you're so brave.

I have such ridiculously small veins that once it took over an hour for the nurse (and 2 more plus a doctor...) to find a vein trying both arms, both hands, a bucket of warm water, a tourniquet (sp?) and then moved onto the feet to try and find a vein there. I'm such a scaredy-cat now and hate needles so have to admit that my wimpiness means I've never given blood although 2 of my sisters go and never have issues... It's worse when I'm at the dentist as the local anaesthetic doesn't work no matter how many times they inject, I once had 5 injections and had to come away with a very numb lip and face but they couldn't do any dental work as the nerves were still awake!

Ooooh and I had to run in and tell Kerri that I emailed the local running club and they have a beginners fitness session on Mondays so I'm going to go and see what it's like! I'm very excited but also very nervous too... I'VE FINALLY COMPLETED ONE OF YOUR WEEKLY CHALLENGES!!!!! HURRAH!!!

I was going to 1) repot my peas as they have seriously outgrown their little pots, 2) update the thread as it's been a few days and we've got some lovely newbies to be added as well as all your brilliant totals, 3) do my new pilates dvd that my sister recommended, 4) do some more research on my bmr etc... HOWEVER... I am currently sorting out my bosses CV and covering letter for a bigwig job in our company...

ooooh and I got a letter through from HMRC saying that they have changed/increased my tax code because of my mileage claim. Now, does that mean that my claim has been successful and they have altered my tax code to essentially repay the money that way OR is it that they have altered it as they believe I will claim again in future so it's to stop that and I will still receive a cheque in the post for the 4yr claim I put in...? We'll see I guess but might give them a ring tomorrow!

    xxx

I hate fleabay. Someone bought a bra from me and is now saying that it hasn't arrived, I posted it almost 3 weeks ago! They also have feedback from two other sellers in the last 48hrs saying the items they sold this person didn't arrive either. I'm on fleabay live chat discussing it at the moment with an agent, something smells fishy!
