Foundations sell really well, and anti aging stuff, especially from 4von who have an annoying habit of discontinuing things. I put a vv powder on for 99p & it has 96 views and 28 watchers!
Feeling really rubbish that I didn't do any fleabaying on free wknd or a bootsale when it was soooo sunny!1% challenge - Started Feb 2014. Cap1 card £1,073.42

Morning all!
Hope you are all well.
camuk - don't worry too much about only paying minimum payment, I feel like that's all I'm doing at the moment too. Things will eventually start to improve for you, hopefully soon, I'm sure x
Well done to those trying something new this week, mustering up the motivation still to try out one of those exercise classes near me.
Planted out my pea plants yesterday, hopefully there'll be no more talk of frost in the weather reports.
Also spent the last £9 of my budget (actually went 58p over, borrowed from Hubby's lottery winnings of £10) at Mr T's yest, exchanged some reward vouchers for 2 iTunes cards too. That's 2 birthdays covered.
Another £7 of DH's winning were spent on bus fare when we decided our Saturday walk was a little too ambitious and collapsed amost at the 12 mile mark
Re: saddos on a Sat night, I spent Sat eve watching and discussing the Voice and BGT on facebook with "friends" I've never met (left over from when I played MW on there) whilst Hubby played a footy game on his laptop and read a book - living life on the edge, I don't think so hee hee!
Oh, and Kerri you're right, this thread does seem a very supportive community, it's quite sad to think the communities we live in may not be as warm and friendly...
Have a good day xxx0 -

So sorry about the date of the operation, Psycho. Did they give you a reason for it? Any chance of a cancellation and getting a different date?
We are ok at this end. The sun has started shining and everyone and everything feels better when the sun comes out!
Yesterday was Mother's Day in this country. The ads on the TV pushing families to buy carp like jewellery etc, all to 'make Mom happy on this special day' were particularly annoying and pervasive this year. The kids think I am 'just being nice' when I ask for homemade cards and a HM cake - nothing could be further from the truth! Their little messages inside the cards are far sweeter than any of the cheese that Mr Hallpark etc dream up!
I had lots of the usual questions like 'Mum why do we have an English Mother's Day and a Canadian one months later, while poor Dad only has one Father's day in June' (Yeah, it's a shame all right! :rotfl:)The other thing they ask is 'It's not fair, why don't we get a Happy Kids Day? I remember asking that one too when I was small...many moons ago!
Speaking of which, I can't get over how YOUNG you all are. Judging by how switched on you all sound and how well established your careers were, I automatically assumed that you were all nearer my age (I'm in my early 40s, but will leap into mid-40's at the end of the year - sob!). Geez guys, pay off these dumb debts and start throwing money into your savings a/c, ISA etc. You lucky lot are so young and you have years and years to go til retirement - Compound Interest is your friend!

Okay, so a couple of direct debits have gone out of the account today, and the car loan has dipped under 2k. As I'd hoped, the amount I paid off the balance of the loan last month meant that much more of each monthly payment is going on capital repayment rather than paying interest.DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

Ok, so I have over £60 in my purse and another £10 at home. I'm owed £62 on Friday, so I'm going to declare another £50 off my total as I am refusing to spend the £50 note I have as it's so rare that I get them!

Another one here in her early 40's & feeling quite old at hearing that most of you are 20 something
I can only echo what Canucksfan has said - all my debts stem from kids, houses and holidays - I was debt free in my 20's so life certainly gets more expensive as you get older.
No news on the debt front for me. DH & I had a row on Sat as he dared to spend £9 on fish in town & drew the money out of the cashpoint to pay for it. Apparently he didn't like the look of the fish in Mr S  I feel bad getting cross with him because he really does do his best & theres nothing thrown away or left over in this house so we are not wasteful. 11 days til payday & I am gonna pay a huge chunk off this month cos there is no school DD this month YAY :j:j
