Enough is enough - the great declutter

Yeah you do have to have it re-frozen all the time which can be difficult! I used to have one of these and TBH I thought it was a bit carp, it really steamed up the whole kitchen, but other people on here seem to like them.
I eventually bought a cheap condensing tumble dryer that you can plumb into the waste pipe but try not to use it too much, being environmental and OS!onredbull wrote:Thank You - I have thanked you for your reply and agree with the theory - its just ...
Well ..
I put these into the freezer - deep freeze it says - so i asume over night - and then use it and it all works.
Then i have to wash it and put it in freezer again and repeat over and over.
Seems like a lot of work when i have so much other stuff to do.
Am i right in thinking this has to be put in the freezer each time i want to use tumble dryer ?Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0 -
rosh12 wrote:Why is it that since I first saw this thread and got all excited about my decluttering, and even managed to root out some stuff for Ebay and half register with PayPal, I haven't had time to do anything else?!!!
Hopefully this afternoon / evening I'll have a bit of time as I can't do anything between now and half three... Grrrr. I shouldn't even be on here now!
My 2 goals are:
1) collect all the little piles of loose change I keep spotting around the house and put them in our money box.
2) iron the two bridesmaids dresses I want to sell on ebay, take stunning photos(!) and work out how to actually sell them (Ebay first timer!)
Hoping for success!
Good luck, bridesmaid dresses should go well.
The biggest mistake I make is underestimating postage so watch that one.
Take a look thru the ebay board on MSE, lots of knowledgeable people over there.
I found some old curtains in my airing cupboard which look like 70's blue yellow and brown squares, totally mad, but I had them made for my living room only 8 years ago, what was I thinking?? However I'll try to ebay them!Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0 -

Hiya,
Thanks for letting me know that you have to freeze it before its used each time.
This was what i thought and couldnt get my head round it as it seems very time consuming and effortless each time needed to use the tumble dryer. I would be better off buying a new hose (or use hose in box with freezer things)
I have got a window and/or vent that (the hose attached to the TD) can be used when TD is in use.
My friends got a condenser TD and she was telling me about hers yesterday.
I have got a de-humidifer (extracts water from air/room) which is great.
Anyway Thanks again and back to the
"What have I NOT Done 2day !!" Discussion.
I managed to put about 10 items on ebay as it was 5p listing with free postage so got all the things out of box that were light-weight and put them on ebay, this included re-listing 3-4 items.
Was on phone to sky for an hr and half - 2 calls with 5 people regarding technical un-safe aerial leads dodgy fault (was advised about yesterday from virgin(NTL) lads that came to my flat and fitted tv)
After telling all of them the situation (2 leads joined together as 1 as aerial from dish to box - its been here over 5 yrs-before i moved here and if any leads/plugs are moved/touched/hoovered near the skt turns off and sometimes tv)
I said i wasnt happy  with safety issue as my son shouldnt try and go behind TV (and never has) but could go near them and i dont think its safe and asked if they could do anything regarding our safety and was told No, No, No and No.
So  I said i wanted to cancel as i dont regard it very safe and then.....
Bloke i was talking to - in the Retentions Department... I mean Cancellation Department said that a sky engineer would come out and see the lead and because im a valued customer( been on 2 mixes for 6mths and before freeview) he would just have a look at what he could do for me.
And Because im a valued customer
Sky are going to pick up the fee for the engineer and pay it on my behalf !!!!
If i hadnt have phoned the free phone sky no - i probably would have paid for 3 engineers to come out and see it - being charged 9p p/m for 90 mins.
 as it wasted so much of my day - sorry but i had to share my day doing "No de-cluttering" which is depressing isnt it ?~~~~~~~~~~~~:kisses3: "In Raising Your Children;" :kisses3:"Spend Half As Much Money n Twice As Much Time."0 -
sounds like lots of you are doing great. just after xmas i had a good declutter but i'm getting itchy fingers again so will have another go!!
i put some stuff on amazon marketplace, some dvds sold but nothing else, so as its getting in the way i think i'll take it to oxfam. would rather them have the money and me have the space. will stick anything worthwhile on ebay. my new mission is also to start cleaning and decluttering the inside of things, for instance have 2 identical lasagne dishes in a cupboard which i never use so will get rid of them next week on flylady kitchen day
thanks for the kick to do thisMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Working yesterday, so no de-cluttering done. Have cleared about 1/2 of one bedroom, and it is great to see the floor again - only problem now is I have loads of empty plastic storage boxes.
Off to dig the allotment this morning, but will do some more de-cluttering this afternoon.
Well done everyone who is joining in :T :TYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

The biggest mistake I made was forgetting how good one of the weddings was- one of the dresses has two little holes from getting my heels stuck in it while dancing, not to mention the wine spilt on it!!! Oops!!!:o
Still, collected the loose change up, and managed to get the nice clean dress on ebay!0 -

Hmm... sounds like you have a lack of decluttering to do there.... you could always have a go on my house if you like? lol Only joking.
Ho hum, I managed to only hoover DS's bedroom lastnight and a bit of the landing. No toiletries sorted. Oops. Hopefully by the end of the weekend Hubby will have the bathroom finished (though I must say I'm very greatful even the slow pace it's going at the mo as he works full time and he's plastering - never done it before in his life  .... but doing a pretty good job and he's saving us oooooddles of money. Lakeside shopping this weekend with my sis and Mum, I'll be looking to buy him a treat me thinks as a thankyou). Anyway I digress....
Tonight FIL is coming to stay for a bit, so I feel a mass need to tidy, BUT I need to find/read through an old contract that someone's trying to 'do' me over so I have a feeling my time will disappear into that. BUT ever the optimist, I hope to...

Cheated a bit today, as the weather was so nice, I went into the garden and did a bit of de-cluttering out there. I can always do upstairs when it is raining :rotfl:You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0

Well, you obviously haven't kicked me enough, because I have done.....
NOTHING.......
So I've started today looking through all my folders, recycling or shredding papers I don't need any more. Hopefully this will be the beginning of lots more good work...He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.
