we've been making slow inroads of late, OH has moved in so shouldn't have to find any space for anything else just need to find space for what's here now. but we've been decorating so lots of things are just in large bags at the moment, if i don't need it for a couple of weeks then i shall bin it.

in preparation for my declutter next week of my living room, our bedroom, study, hall cupboards, DD1 bedroom, bathroom, kitchen cupboards:eek: and, if I have time left, the loft
do I dump all stuff in one room/area then when finished gathering decide what to do with it ebay/freecycle/charity shop or do I put it in separate piles from the start?
I also need to 'prepare for winter' nearly finished list, but cant start 'till I can move in this place!!so clutter has to go first. thanks annie0 -
Lots done yesterday. I finally got round to sorting out the paperwork. Produced 2 black bags of shredded paper. I put some on the compost heap and the rest will go on gradually it will have to stay in the shed until then BUT the shed got decluttered too:D so there is plenty of space for it. Whilst in the shed I sorted out the "welly bag" DS3 will need a new pair as there are no size 13's in there. So all in all a successful day.:j
Lots of cleaning and washing to do today I will hopefully find a few things to fling.
Have fun everyone.MFW 1/5/08 £45,789 Cleared mortgage 1/02/13

Well - I did the yard sale today
OUT: All sorts of stuff :j
IN: £170 :j
Still have a fair bit left, and a fair bit that I ran out of time to get sorted out, so weather allowing I'm going to do another in two weeks. Fingers crossed for a similar outcome
The greatest thing is though, that enough was sold that I didn't have to bring anything back into the house - in all fitted in the garage - I have a hall again :jDFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -
That's great Earthmother :T
I'm slowly decluttering, several tops and pairs of tights and socks have made it out this week and OH and I have bought a really useful box each to put things from our childhood in that are currently scattered around our house after we keep bringing things up from our parents houses (which are now almost empty of our stuff) another project for my holiday.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Hi again all!
I've been in the garage...
Mainly because this site was off yesterday and it meant I couldn't sit on the computer all day but actually go and do!
so all the seats went down in the people carrier and it was filled x2 with all sorts and gone off to tip, then filled again for 2nd hand shop and I have a pile of items to put on freecycle!
We swept it all out and moved everything (except fridge freezer) to clean there were shells of seeds and acorns everywhere so I think we've had mice living in there! Now we can see the floor and it's all so tidy I told the kids I was gonna sit in there today while it's raining! Sadly no pc there so here i am!
Well done everyone we will get there in the end!0 -
I've been in the garden again.........
DH went to the council compost heap with 3 bags of garden rubbish. Also took some cardboard and the plastic bottles and a few old bits and pieces not worth passing on.
Nothing brought in today.
Going into school tomorrow for a staff meeting so not likely to get much done now.MFW 1/5/08 £45,789 Cleared mortgage 1/02/13
