So after venturing out onto some of the other boards (a mistake I will not be repeating for a while as it is TROLL CITY out there!) I'm back. And very happy to report that OH has gone to stay at his sister's for a BBQ which I politely declined for the sole reason that I will get to do some actual decluttering tonight!
I know, it's sad but I am looking forward to it!
:eek:What is wrong with me!!
Off to pour myself a super strength coffee, crank up the tunes and get ready to do some serious chucking out! *rolls up sleeves* :rotfl:DFW Nerd 1050 (09/08 overdraft £1200)

I have a camcorder I want to sell - I've seen the same one selling online for £150 (it cost me £300 new). Can someone recommend the best place to sell it?
I was thinking ebay but I'm not so sure about selling something so expensive on account of problems of buyers claiming that they haven't received it etc.

OUT-
1 old radiator, and a scrap man banged on door and asked if he could take it- so no costs in getting rid.:j
a sack full of assorted rubbish from dd's bedroom- actually it's not completely out, it's hidden upstairs waiting till I'm 100% sure she's asleep before getting it and putting it in the wheelie bin.:shhh:
IN
1 new radiator:p and the card for the plumber who fitted it as I've at long last got one who turns up, does a good job and as reasonable prices :T - only taken me 14 years to find one.
Various school uniform.
paperwork still not touched though.:o0 -
Sorry haven't been online much this week -
Herewegoagain the boots grabbit thread - it's the top thread on the 'quick grabbit while you can' board. Basically Boots have a habit of doing stupidly good offers, normally when there's a voucher about. For example at the moment you can get a trevor sorbie long hair serum and a shampoo for 1p!! I'll use the stuff and haven't gone mad on this offer and others but they're great to take advantage of (but not if you're decluttering ) If you want to make yourself feel better, see some of the stash photos on there - some people have houses full of boots things
Anyway delcuttering wise - sold 7 shower gels through work last week and a book through Amazon (but only had that in the house a fortnight as parents gave it to me) did some shreading today which I'll add to compost bin in the morning. Spent yesterday afternoon going through the last of my cross stitch mags pulling out patterns I'll use and the rest of the mags went in the recycling (not much good to anyone with half the pages missing) Big box of recycling there so I'm pleased with myself.
Just listing some other things to sell through work too (or try to).Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Send it recorded delivery or special delivery and it has to be signed for.. therefore proof it has been received!! and make sure it is insured against loss to its full value!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
had to tidy up husbands office again  he has been shredding so bits of paper all over the floor.
Didn't have much a choice as the someone from virgin was coming to fix our internet.
It is still tidy nearly a week later :j
Just a shame all the rest of the rooms in the house are such a pig sty.

Calley, my house is just the same, I get to work sorting out one room and the others just get worse.
Not sure much decluttering will get done today, hoping to just potter around the garden centre and then our garden. If I get a sudden burst of energy I'll tackle the paperwork but it is unlikely;)
Have good day decluttering.MFW 1/5/08 £45,789 Cleared mortgage 1/02/13

Glad it is not just me then :rotfl:
I need to get organised and think I need to anal about it start writing lists for everything. And even thinking about saying that monday is bathroom, tuesday kitchen etc etc
Not sure how that would work. As I bet my life on it that it will tidy on that day but untidy later on in the week.
I need to clear out the top and bottom shelves in my larder as they full of rubbish and the tall cupboard in kitchen needs doing again as well
How I hate cleaning.
