Hi All,
Not posted for a few days as have been busy trying to get the house ready for next week - I am staying at my parents with DS, while OH is fitting our kitchen. Atm the kitchen (all units, appliances etc) is in my dining room which just looks like a complete bombsite. So hopefully, once the kitchen is finished I should be able to get that room sorted.
OUT - 1 plastic box of recycling, 1 large bag of maternity clothes (returning them to the friend I borrowed them from)
IN - Coffee maker - have got addicted to lattes, and 2 baby football kits (terrible I know, but they're so cute and I never spend any money on myself, just my son)Debts May 09 [strike]£100 Od[/strike], [strike]£1550 boiler[/strike], [strike]£1750[/strike] £400 credit card  Goal - to 3k of savings by Oct 2009 in time for Baby num 2 :j Total so far £12000 -
Out : 2 ebay parcels (Jacket & a belt)
In: Milk & some reduced cooked meat for sandwiches. I'm hoping to put off an Asda delivery until Monday......Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I really need to do some more decluttering today0

Well ebay listing continues and I think I have 50+ to load up tonight - God it is so damn boring but promised myself I will only list on Thurs and spend two day getting ready for it!
When I finish in spare room, there are another 5 big boxes to go thru, then I will start on DH old van (dont ask). As I have already mentioned he is a hoarder and the van is full of stuff he took out of garage to allow building work to start. We have lost the key for the van and until it is empty we cant arrange to tow it to garage (ggggrrrrrrrrr) Anyway thats my next project but dont want to start until this room finished.
Then more stuff from garage which is currently in yard covered in heavy duty plastic
Then current clothes
Then the boxes I have hidden away under eaves so I will forget about them
Then I should be about ready to retire from work and move to a fold (I am 40!!)
Happy Decluttering

Oh my god! Mum and Dad have been clearing out kitchen cupboards and there are piles and piles of kitchenwares downstairs now!
I have managed to get rid of a Zyliss mandolin already today to a freecycler. Gosh, its so depressing - stuff everywhere! Most of the kitchenwares aren't good enough for ebay, so it looks like they are freecycle and tip jobs.
Well, had a go at using the paypal postage service - never again! Almost all of the parcels were over-sized so I had to pay extra on all of the postage amounts, bar one! Next time, I will just take them to the Postoffice for them to work out the cost. Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

I'm back after falling off the decluttering bandwaggon! I managed to give 19 bags of 'stuff' to the charity shop in March and April and have got rid of very little since then. I love the idea of 'in' and 'out' every day so today.....
IN- nothing
OUT - three big wooden pallets taken to allotment (a builder was working on a house near my mum and dad and I asked if I could have the pallet on his skip. He carried it to my mums for me and asked if i'd like any more. He's now given us about 12!!! Lovely free fencing and compost bins for allotment!)
Off to fill a charity bag to be left on door step for tomorrow xx0 -

Right, school holidays, no running around like an idiot and time for the great declutter! Started already with my bedroom and have removed 3 bags of absolute cr*p already. Not that is looks all that tidy yet. I am determined this summer.. Looking at the thread is this what you do? You put what comes into the house and what goes out? As in.. to the charity shop, donations, dump etc. And to bring as little as possible back in?
Does anyone have a plan? do you write a list? On the lines of:
in the next 2 weeks I work on my bedroom etc? Or the filing? Will read the thread a bit more in detail tonight..looking for inspiration
P.S. Does anyone know what we can do with lots and lots of CD disks? My DH is blind and he receives lots of stuff from the RNIB on disk. It seems such a waste just to send to landfill. And please don't suggest crafting , they are coming out of our ears...Is there anywhere that would recycle them? Or could use them? I don't think they could be re-recorded.
