My friends mum makes wind chimes for the garden with her old CDs. Dont make much noise but apparantly they look nice in the garden when the sun catches them
  • MOT,

    found these

    www.recyclingcds.com/

    www.london-recycling.co.uk

    www.polymerrecycling.co.uk/cd.html

Try asking the recycling officer at your local council who should know where your nearest place is.

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Right, school holidays, no running around like an idiot and time for the great declutter! Started already with my bedroom and have removed 3 bags of absolute cr*p already. Not that is looks all that tidy yet. I am determined this summer.. Looking at the thread is this what you do? You put what comes into the house and what goes out? As in.. to the charity shop, donations, dump etc. And to bring as little as possible back in?

Does anyone have a plan? do you write a list? On the lines of:

in the next 2 weeks I work on my bedroom etc? Or the filing? Will read the thread a bit more in detail tonight..looking for inspiration
I tend to not write a plan, I have a general idea, but not a rigid and fixed idea. I do small sections at a time, and have boxes for recycling, charity, online selling and bin it. I also dust at the same time

I just set a target: by the weekend I will be able to walk from one corner of the room to the other :rotfl:

Ref CDs - I put a load (huge carrier bag of the freebie ones from the newspaper) on freecycle and a local schoolteacher took them in for her class to make things with(?)
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

......Have you noticed that ebay has changed? It makes it harder to decipher if an item is being advertised by a shop imho. What do you think?

I think it looks awful & will be happy when they stop messing with it! The searches are driving me mad.....

How about any local Beaver/Cub or Brownie/Rainbow packs? or local nursery?
Or even offer some to local allottmenters for bird scaring?

You and Me both - took me a lifetime to work out what was going on - now gives you closest match to your search - I like the ending soonest default

74 things listed tonight 1 watcher LOL but sure 6 days 23 hours to go

Wonders 'who will not pay' and 'who will leave neg feedback' - oh the joys of ebay!!

    In NOTHING

Out Bag of Rubbish (BUT filling boxes for charity and dump as I do ebaying but yes you are right - they are not out yet)
    LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.
    (CC/LOAN = [STRIKE]36,378.98[/STRIKE] 35668.47. O/D = [STRIKE]1255.32[/STRIKE] 1212.35/[STRIKE]1999.78[/STRIKE] 1934.52, BUS = [STRIKE]9769.76[/STRIKE] 8714.98)
    Challenge = Debt at 31/01/12 = £25k. 2011 Payments = £1,944.19/£24,403.84

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

I find that setting a big long term target just adds pressure as I approach it. Instead I would suggest something modest like "I will spend one hour a day monday to friday this week decluttering" or "I will fill one bin liner with charity clothes this week"

Is it possible to throw away/sell too much? I am not used to my room with a lack of clutter!
