Well done Pigpen! I want to pay my fees now too but there is a scheduled one coming out and the last time I did a one-off payment to clear it, they took the scheduled amount out as well and I ended up going into credit with my fees! Don't want that :p So I'm waiting until they've taken that and then I'll clear the rest and withdraw my lovely moolah.

I've been through the ziplock folder. Great collection of air tickets, ferry tickets, international trains, boarding passes etc, but probably about 5 years worth missing - no doubt they were binned at some point. Shame. Keeping what's there though.

Some of the sporting and music event tickets may have a small value and I'll list those in batches.

Binned a fair bit of misc rubbish :p

Been decorating DS2 bedroom so I've got rid of a PC workstation, bed and chest of drawers. Replaced it with a high sleeper bed with all those items built in underneath.
Not the most attractive piece of furniture, but it is practical.
Got rid of a dustbin bag full of rubbish and have loads and loads of toys for car booting and charity.
Still have his wardrobe to sort - loads of toys thrown in the bottom!
Will see if I can post some pics once I've got his new curtains, etc.
 Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

Don;t really feel like tackling the stuff under my desk this afternoon so it'll be just dealing with paperwork...........least then that will be out of the way

3 people still to pay, wish they'd get a move on. I'm going to start NPB on one of them tonight  4 more packages posted today though including the biggest one.

I have done a bit of photo sorting out today, I have 13 photo albums of my son and our travels during his pre-school years - well, over time some of the pictures have been taken out for various reasons and not put back, so I've managed to find all but one(!) of those prints and put them back. It now feels like a jigsaw puzzle with one piece missing!

Now my question to myself is this... in the years since he's been at school all the pictures are digital and I've never ordered prints. Do I go back and get prints done so I can continue with the albums?

I expect if you want them in your albums you'd have to get prints........not sure as I don't know anything about digital photos.
You're doing well with yours. Haven't looked at mine since I move them all. Bit of a nightmare task for me. Mind you - 13 albums !! Thats a lot ! Well done !

Well, did my PAYE return so feeling very pleased for myself!

The prospective buyers who second viewed yesterday are going to make a decision by the end of the week apparently - its a toss up between three properties. We have another viewing on Saturday lined up too.

OH thinks our next door neighbours are annoyed at us for putting the house on the market (they have been up for sale since October last year). I think 6 months is long enough for anyone to wait. Bit of competition is healthy anyway!

My new cast iron fire-insert arrived yesterday for my house. We had to get it delivered here because they wouldn't take it up the steps to the house, so we can put it in the garage here and move it with the rest of the stuff when we sell the house. Bit of a pain as it would have been nice to get it installed sooner rather than later.

Had a few pickups on Freecycle which means the piles are going down, and the PS1 and Nintendo parcels for ebay have gone off. I have a few watchers, but no bids yet for my items on ebay.... here's hoping....!

Thanks Mary, I've had a good think about this now and I'm going to make photo CDs instead of getting loads more prints done. I will need to go back through folders and pick out any of my son and our adventures, then it would be nice if I could get them onto one CD per year with an index print.

The reason for 13 albums was because we did a lot of travelling in those pre-school years, I think it was about 25 countries! (I'm making an index of dates and places to go with those pictures).

Seems like I have a small project on my hands now! :D

    This may sound stupid but........

The only thing stopping me from putting things on Ebay is that I have to pay to put them up. What if they don't sell? Or if they sell for less??????

I know, its a quandary Mellika as no one really knows if their stuff is likely to sell.

We under-priced a couple of items on the postage side, we thought we had done a good job, but obviously not. You have to put it down to experience I am afraid. We have been philosphical about it - the stuff would only be sitting in our cupboards gathering more dust if we hadn't put it on.
