Tonights items have ended and the score is:

£136.10 sold, and £24.83 in current bids on the ones ending Sunday :)

Thanks for taking the time to explain about Amazon FFM :D I can see it isn't going to work for my "Palins". I might try listing them together as a job lot in the local free ads.

Has anyone on here gone car-free?

I've been slacking lately but soon I shall reinstate my decluttering stance!

Today, I have listed a sofa on Ebay. We moved it out of the spare room and it now looks so spacious in there! Unfortunately the sofa is now cluttering up the kitchen until it is either sold or Freecycled!

I have 9 days off work as of Friday 18th so aside from my 2 day DFDS cruise I will spend the rest of the week decluttering before OH's birthday party on Saturday 26th... promise!

I love slinging huge things.. I find it so liberating..

The day we disposed of a treadmill, a shoe cupboard and a desk and moved the tumble dryer to another room it created heaps of space!

We've just made £160 from ebay sales - very chuffed with ourselves!

    Still lots to go.....

I have two boxes of books, mainly detective novels - not sure how to best get rid of them....

    HI everyone

Glad you are all doing so well, and making some money in the process. I think I am a lost cause, I started this thread back last February and have only cleared one bedroom :o

I was doing OK until my auction started having new greetings cards for sale, so I have bought thousands - they do sell, but if I carry on buying them lo
I will probably have enough to last for years

I moved a few boxes yesterday, but didn't find anything to fling. Working today, but will have another go tomorrow.

Hi everyone. Some of my ebay items finished yesterday so that's another £40 (fortunate really as eldest DD wants another £235 for a school trip by the 25th this month-and she only told me day before yesterday:eek:)
Still got some items waiting to finish and loads waiting to be listed. It didn't really help that the kids brought 8 binliners full of stuff back from daddys on sunday. I have condensed that down to 4 already, looks like either ebay or charity for the rest. Kids grandma did send a large carrier bag full of wool for the square knitting thread I've managed to rope myself into. I hadn't knitted for 15 years or more. I have now completed 5 squares so far-ah well all in a good cause.
Well done everyone so far. Continued good luck to all.
Charlies_ mum this thread is a Godsend-thank you for starting it. You are not a lost cause-only reason I haven't been to any auction houses is because I am in an area I don't know and haven't discovered where they take place or I'd be going for a rummage as often as I could afford. Before I moved I used to go to auctions and carboots most weekends-I bet my OH thought it was a nightmare when he helped me move. I have loads of stuff and I have already downsized by at least half compared to what i used to have. The shed is full the loft is about 1/3 full and there is loads of other stuff strategically placed so it is disguised as not clutter-to a degree :D
