:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Was a fun day meeting up, am still laughing at the trolley man's face staring at us both..:rotfl::rotfl: We sure did our part for the environment helping keep the carpark clean of paper :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The Flora has made it self at home in my fridge...:rotfl::rotfl: very random as to why the person left it on top of a trolley yet took the other 3 items that they had bought....
Sounds like such a fun day!:D Wish all T's trips would be as exciting and rewarding!:p

Yellow SEL in my T and 1 left which I took.

Think it's worth mentioning that in order to use this as a portable radio you will HAVE to purchase the optional 'Chargepak' - This is about £20 so only really a 'bargain' if you want it as a mains powered DAB

May take it back because my intention was to use as a portable :o did get spend up to £30 though so could use a wombled £4 CS but this is truly accidental as really did want the radio......

Hi, I only bought it to use around the house on mains. Apparently if you want the battery pack I have been reliably informed the place to go is John Lewis. Not many places stock them. HTH

Hi all, hope everyone is well...
    just a small observation:
My neice and nephew are bleary eyed sa's at mr T and always accept loads of coupons (as per the terms I never go to their tills).
They are never TOLD OFF for taking too many, if fact they are always put on ss as they have less queues.
Also the store they work in likes them as they do all the rubbish hours (hence being there first/last thing).
They have both said they get more grief from the" fifty somethings" members of staff who won't do overtime but snipe at them!!

I recently went to T's and was served by the most miserable old bag imaginable...She didn't reply and couldn't even raise a smile when I said hello.....and when I asked for some bags, she literally threw at me. Made no eye contact, slamming stuff down and huffing and tutting the whole time. Refused point blank to accept any coupons without the tick (the Rustlers one which you had to enter the FB competition for and they emailed you) She had a badge on saying she'd worked there since 1985 and I doubt she'd had any customer service training since then!

After leaving T's I called off at Sainsbobs and the attitude couldn't have been more different. There were a couple of young girls doing the reductions and they were the complete opposite. Chatty, friendly and really helpful. The same on the till....smiling, asked if i needed a hand packing, and generally being pleasant.
Accepted the coupon without batting an eye.
I felt compelled to email S's to praise the staff in that store compliment them on their staff training and had a lovely reply. I wonder if T's will get its act together when they supposedly take on all these extra staff
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

    Hello again.
I'm not a troll or an elite member in hiding . Don't want to cause suspicion amongst the rank and file. I am a long time reader of all MSE foruma ,particularly old style but love yours too. You are a great bunch of people and very supportive of one another.

I am really sorry if I have upset any of you today. My post may have been undiplomatic but I was irritated by the "battery glitch"

Sorry if I have offended anyone.
Hello Earthday and welcome to you. Your first post nearly began a revolt this morning! People have different opinions on everything and hopefully we can all try to be more harmonious and not jump on each other, thinking they are right or wrong. Each post is a valid post, whether you agree with it or not. They're just opinions people and nothing to get so het up about. We are all here for two reasons - we all love a good bargain and we all support each other.
I conclude by saying "welcome to the thread Earthday".

Your T trip sounds like my local Morrisons!

I'm glad you got good service in S's though. And even nicer that you made the effort to let them know too. People are too quick to complain about bad service but you never hear stories of good service. Good on you :D

Good afternoon folks! Not sure how long one has to be lurking to be an official lurker? But I only found this particular forum last weekend!

Been couponing for a while in a smallish way, but 5 of us in the family, one still in nappies and one lovely woofa our food bills have been souring :( so we are trying to do something about it!

Is it possible to become an addict in one week? And that's only to this thread! I've been about for some time on and off on MSE.:money: Love the old style forum I'm definately a wannabe!

The one thing I'm finding after completing week one of trying to really cut back and get the bargains, is that I'm getting in a terrible muddle! I started doing it by lists of supermarkets, but is it a case of just getting the terminology in your head and writing them next to the product so you know what you're doing in store? I literally stood looking at the palmolive yesterday, one voucher in hand and I thought what am I meant to be doing?!! Left the store and went home lol!!!! I think I'm just a scaredy pants and rather green!

As you can see, I do go on a bit, thus I'll try not to post too often unless I find a deal to share, but just wanted to say a big Hi to all you lovely peeps and an even bigger THANK YOU for this amazing thread! You are all quite bonkers :rotfl:

    Cheers

    BSM

    Welcome to the forum. :D

Everyone here goes on more than a bit. I think it was considered a requirement for a while. :rotfl: So post as often as you want, even when you feel you have nothing to contribute your presence is encouraged and more than welcome.

As for the planning, I started all this recently myself and I am sure everyone does it slightly differently. You will get the hang of what to get where, but to start with when I got confused I used to literally create a T list and put it with the coupons I was going to use with the list. Then the next list would have the coupons for that one and so on.

Next time you feel scared and green think of all of us behind you and push through, then tell us how you went. :D
