Hi all, hope everyone is well...
    just a small observation:
My neice and nephew are bleary eyed sa's at mr T and always accept loads of coupons (as per the terms I never go to their tills).
They are never TOLD OFF for taking too many, if fact they are always put on ss as they have less queues.
Also the store they work in likes them as they do all the rubbish hours (hence being there first/last thing).
They have both said they get more grief from the" fifty somethings" members of staff who won't do overtime but snipe at them!!
  • Good afternoon folks! Not sure how long one has to be lurking to be an official lurker? But I only found this particular forum last weekend!

Been couponing for a while in a smallish way, but 5 of us in the family, one still in nappies and one lovely woofa our food bills have been souring :( so we are trying to do something about it!

Is it possible to become an addict in one week? And that's only to this thread! I've been about for some time on and off on MSE.:money: Love the old style forum I'm definately a wannabe!

The one thing I'm finding after completing week one of trying to really cut back and get the bargains, is that I'm getting in a terrible muddle! I started doing it by lists of supermarkets, but is it a case of just getting the terminology in your head and writing them next to the product so you know what you're doing in store? I literally stood looking at the palmolive yesterday, one voucher in hand and I thought what am I meant to be doing?!! Left the store and went home lol!!!! I think I'm just a scaredy pants and rather green!

As you can see, I do go on a bit, thus I'll try not to post too often unless I find a deal to share, but just wanted to say a big Hi to all you lovely peeps and an even bigger THANK YOU for this amazing thread! You are all quite bonkers :rotfl:

    Cheers

    Morning everyone.

    Agree with debsjc 100%

Having shown CS offending sel and watched her/him take it off and pay out R&R or DTD.

Gone back next day found same offending sel back up again. A deliberate act to catch out unsuspecting customers.

Deserved punishing, so went back for more RR / DTD and will continue to do so.

Consider it as a public service.

Something similar happened to me.. Claimed DTD on an item a few months ago, staff took one label but left the other. I told him he'd left a label behind, he looked at it, looked at me, mumbled something to himself and left it! My initial thought was that he would call a friend/family member to claim the same DTD later, I never considered this other theory.

i dont often get a DTD but i think t's are fair game because of the GAME they play. quite often they put the price of something up so they can put it on offer, like b1g1f. so if they try and con us with their offers and play around with their prices then i will go for DTD. also what about the BIG PRICE DROP where loads of items were increased in price in the run up to it, so they can then reduce it and call it a DROP.
I am also against calling them trouts, i think faggot face would be more apt.

I wasn't recommended to this thread by anyone, I found it by accident. T's annoyed me constantly with their price changes. An item that would be one price for months would suddenly increase only to be put 'On offer' soon after.. I've given the example before, but Brahma lager is the perfect example. £2.50 generally, however when the 2 for £6 beers offer is on, the price suddenly shoots up to £3.50. £1 more for 4 bottles, even with the 2 for £6 it is more expensive than it is usually!

They'd have never lost a penny to me on DTD if they'd not annoyed me by ripping me off.

Oh and didn't have enough room on the last post to tell you how my first week went!

Lidl has supplied me with everything I didn't get elsewhere, that was just a totally new experience to me, unfortunately missed the loo roll deal, but used the £5 off voucher thankyou!

Managed to get 5 x heart choc boxes last week for 1p local extra store - THANK YOU! This will be a real treat on a 'date night in'! Yesterday I got those super yummy icecreams using the £2.50 T voucher. (Sorry not totally "wiffet" regarding terminology just yet, but I'm learning!

Didn't go for the batteries or DVD's, firstly I'm too scared to do DTD and secondly, didn't need batteries and my two eldest children are too old for disney (never ~ must be a phase!) and my little one too young.

I just don't have enough space either. Gosh where do you guys store everything?!!!

Anyway, otherhalf has just nipped to Mr T to pick up the playhouse and used a £6 off £40 spend, so £43.83 we very happy about this for our little ones 2nd birthday next month.

Have a fabulous Sunday shopping folks, I'm off to see if there are any whoopsies at 3pm!

I want to make the most of the price flop coupons and the only one I want really is the frozen one so I have two shops planned for this..

    2 x chocablok ice creams £5.58
    1 x 12 potato waffles £1.00
    1 x 12 fish fingers £1.24
    1 x Haagen Dazs vanilla £2.22
    1 x bag frozen raspberries £1.39
    Total £11.43

    Less £2.79 bogof
    Less £2.50 price flop
Less £2.00 Birds Eye coupons(from telling them their frozen fish was carp)

Leaves £4.14 to pay with wombled price checks = FREE!

    4 x chocablok ice creams £11.16
1 x Ross vege ready meal:eek: till spit for this wombled from underneath a trolley

£3.08 to pay after bogof and £2.50 price flop

Less 53p of wombles = £2.55 to pay for all of the above!

    :T:T:T

    I am planning
    2 chocablok lollies £5.58
    1 Haagen Daz vanilla £2.22
1 Haagen Daz Belgian chocolate £2.22

    After BOGOF £7.34
After price flop voucher total to pay £4.84

    :):):):)
    Born to glitch :D
