Good afternoon folks! Not sure how long one has to be lurking to be an official lurker? But I only found this particular forum last weekend!

Been couponing for a while in a smallish way, but 5 of us in the family, one still in nappies and one lovely woofa our food bills have been souring :( so we are trying to do something about it!
    .........................................

As you can see, I do go on a bit, thus I'll try not to post too often unless I find a deal to share, but just wanted to say a big Hi to all you lovely peeps and an even bigger THANK YOU for this amazing thread! You are all quite bonkers :rotfl:

    Cheers

    Bonkers? Really? Yes :j :j :j :j :j Welcome hun

Thanks Looby , what an sad and bad example we've set to others who might be considering coming out of the Kingdom of Lurkdom and actually posting on here .

It's almost shouts out ...' don't come here unless you agree with us ' ..or worse still ...' Oi , get off my land !! ' .

Well said fourp.:) I still bear the scars of a bit of well intentioned "missionary work" and despite the rude, name calling responses from some I don't hold any grudges now I've seen what many people are really like:rotfl: First impressions can often be misleading on a forum like this.

Like others have posted, I also hold personal views on some things that might go against the grain but don't like to share them here as the thread can at times be a bit one-sided/defensive:( and possibly puts some people off?

On a lighter note, we've just had our second fix today(electrics not drugs:rotfl:) in the utility room so we can reconnect the washer after a week of it being unavailable:eek: Floor tiling next on the agenda. No rest for the wicked:cool:

    Hi all,

I went to Mr T's this morning and was returning some clothes to CS when I heard someone behind me say VERY loudly 'Oh whats Martin Moneybags telling you to do now?!':eek::eek: I turned around to see my brother and his girlfriend (my Martin addiction is the butt of my families jokes!) I was mortified :o:eek::o - I'm not sure if the SA heard as I just bowed my head down and scuttled off and the told my brother he wasn't helping me try to keep a low profile!! :rotfl::rotfl:

We both managed to get a DAB radio each so many thanks to micabenson and izzeyb :A.

I had to laugh when I tried to buy 2 pairs of cute reindeer christmas socks for my LO's and was told that they were unable to sell them to me for Health and Safety reasons!! I asked them why and they said that didn't know but perhaps they might fall apart in the washing machine or something :rotfl::rotfl:I think perhaps it was the fact that they were 4p!!

off to catch up now - hope everyone is having a good day :)
Erm I'm not sure if I've got the hang of this money saving.....I seem to be spending more money buying 'bargains' that I don't really need - oops!! :)
