Anyone done JTD without the original reciept?
Few of my locals ever ask for the receipt and I've left my receipts at home before, when I grabbed the vouchers and forgot the receipts which are stuck by a magnet to my computer cabinet door.
I would just try to use the jtd as normal. If asked for the receipt you could rummage around in your purse for the receipt and conclude you've left it at home. Apologise then try again next time with another SA. Or:
If you are using 2 vouchers, 2 transactions in a row, use the one you have a receipt for first and gauge whether you'll need the receipt for the second. If so, before the transaction you can apologise say you can't pay for the second one and go to sort out family emergency, get more money from the cash machine, find bank card etc.
It's only a game

Hello again.
I'm not a troll or an elite member in hiding . Don't want to cause suspicion amongst the rank and file. I am a long time reader of all MSE foruma ,particularly old style but love yours too. You are a great bunch of people and very supportive of one another. But you are right there comes a point where lurking turns into stalking!
I am really sorry if I have upset any of you today- especially the poster with all the red angry faces - don't want to go back and check the name. My post may have been undiplomatic but I was irritated by the "battery glitch"
I am married with 2 children and work full time for a LD charity. I am the one doing the supported shops around Tesco. Staff are always kind and I will speak as I find. I have an allotment, keep hens and try and live a simple less wasteful life.
Sorry if I have offended anyone.
ok darling your a wee bit forgiven xlost 9 stone since Feb 2011

Hello everyone.
Can I make a few observations about the behaviour of some of the people on this thread as it flies in the face of everything MSE. Maybe it is acceptable for Tesco to be regarded as fair game but what about the " trouts" who work there. What an awful way to describe people. These are somebody's mothers, daughters and sons. Quite rightly they should show a degree of loyalty to the company that pays their wages. What about the young Saturday worker who you target for multiple coupon hits who gets a bollocking at the end of his shift for maybe taking coupons he should not have done but feels under pressure to do so by someone who is maybe more articulate or forceful than he is.
Do you ever feel guilty about the queues standing behind you as you argue over a DTD and the manager is called. The office worker who has to leave her stuff and go as she only has 30mins for her lunch break or the mum with the crying baby. You will argue that customer service tills should be better staffed but why? Not just to look after YOU surely. Don't even get me on to returned food items!
You cannot surely be short sighted enough to think that your comments are isolated in a bubble. There are thousands of people reading your comments and it won't be long before tesco ditches DTD, JTD and tightens up on coupon acceptance. This means that you will have spoilt things for the vast majority who try to work within the spirit of the law and not the letter of the law. Most people have a few coupons in their purse and wallet and are happy with this. Why do some of you have to be so greedy. Do you NEED cupboards full of batteries and Wrights flour and DVD's and well, where do I stop.....
Please try not to be greedy or unkind to people. Most people are just trying to get by.
Hope this makes you think.
A nicely worded post and its a shame its got so few thanks.
As you say, to be MSE is about getting by and saving money not about screwing things just because you can.
I've thanked ML's reply too as she too makes valid points. We are not all uncaring robots and most of us do try and stay within the rules and not be tooo greedy.............apart from ML of course who has to have the very last frozen pea out the bottom of the freezer!
The one thing I would say though, is your opinion would have garnered far more respect if you'd used your proper username rather than inventing a new one to make your remarks. I feel you shot yourself in the foot with that decision.0 -

Was extremely disappointed today to find the cheese I was planning all week to get has now gone to normal price
Thought I would mention this before I go in case anyone is interested and hadn't thought of it
Have not double checked, as I cannot keep so many frozen anyway, but I am pretty sure the terms of the McCain coupon are one per product and not one per transaction so you could get 10 packets of rustic chips for £2.50 after the price flop coupon2013 Wombles onto Giftcard Challenge £0/£1200 -
