Still waiting for a refund despite receiving an email telling me it is being processed.
I've also escalated to their call centre to no avail. I will be beginning small claims court proceedings tomorrow as they are now in breach of their own terms and conditions and also in breach of the distance selling regulations.
I'm fed up now - the courts can deal with them.
Cant believe this is allowed to continue...0 -
Sorry to hear you still have yet to receive your promised refund..
HMCS online is a great way to serve anyone who legitimately owes you money....but I think it is time to take this thread to the public media...anyone can send an email to editors of your favourite newspaper. Most have covered WAE + and their practices...including success quotes from founders and co founders.... The theory is that if they are discredited the onslaught of questions from tweets, Facebook etc will ensue. Then it is totally up to WAE+ to prove they aren't the crooks we know them to be....more people hear WAE+ or whichever name they change to next...it may save someone from this experience.
Don't forget to mention the Trading Standards are aware, but yet have done nothing. Feel free to point out this thread. Any evidence including your HMCS online claim reference will set the news media upon WAE+, as it is public information.Still waiting for a refund despite receiving an email telling me it is being processed.

I always find this website really useful sconty.com when looking for stuff, they compare products from all the major stores.
Hi
Sounded a good website so I just tried "sconty.com" but their web site immed requested a login ID & password?!
( Bit daft as clearly I'd have to access their website first, in order to join!)
Any help re this, anyone??APennySaved

Wow! I came across this thread by accident. (Was looking for feedback/info at MSE re the appalling courier Hermes; but that's another story...)
It's SHOCKING that any company like this could still be in existence!
I just checked the co's website & it brings up the lovely - empty i.e. unhyperlinked - webpage that just states:
" We're having a refresh
Thanks for dropping by We Are Electricals
We are having a refresh and will be back later
With great products at prices you'll love.
If you need to contact us please continue to do so on:
01604 807 255 "
A "refresh"?! Is that what they're calling it now?!
Hopefully this means that WAE have 'done a runner' i.e. closed down. Obviously that leaves LOADS of people out of pocketbut at least WAE can't misbehave ... under that trading name, at least.
Hmmm, I wonder if anyone is left manning their "01604 807 255" phone?! I'm NOT a gambling person [if looking at this website is that likely?! :rotfl: ] but on this occasion I would put money on any calls resulting in some answerphone message stating "we are not currently available"!

We Are Electricals has a new director as of 1st August 2013.
Mr Kristian Myjak Rassmussen, he's Danish and his correspondence address is

Suffolk

So if folks still need resolution to anything outstanding at least you have a point to start.

The companies value is only £574.20, yet their capital was 10m in July, which is worrying the number is a forwarding service.0

AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE

Short Version:
Paid for Router – never turned up – cancelled order – had to fight like crazy to get my money back.
Took my money on: 25.06.13
Got my money back: 22.08.13 (only because of credit card company)
Longer Version:
Tried to buy a router from this company, at first it looked like a great deal, after 2.5 weeks nothing turned up so I contacted them only to receive an email saying it was out of stock (when I ordered it clearly stated this item was in stock).
Then I decided to cancel the order, this is when the nightmare started. Again after 2 weeks I still hadn't received any refund, so I contacted them, they gladly informed me they could legally keep my money up to 30 days, I wasn't happy about this but I thought fair enough I’ll wait the 30 days.
The 30 days passed and went, still no refund, so I contacted them again - they apologised and promised me the money would be in my account by the end of the week, the week passed nothing happened.
I eventually received a refund on 22/8, 12 days after the 30 days legal time limit; this was only due to my credit card company issuing a charge back and forcing them to return my money. Without the credit card company acting I am pretty sure I would have never seen my money again.
They promised me time again they would refund me but nothing ever happened, I tried to speak with their manager and left messages but she never retuned my calls. This experience with WAE+ was a complete nightmare; if you value your money avoid this company at all costs even if they seem cheaper than anyone else.0 -
Gave a statement to Birmingham Trading Standards about WAE+
I did get my goods but the fact that Trading Standards are seriously interested in them should be a warning to everyone.0
