;62703330]What's the general consensus here then guys?

I have ordered £770 worth of items on the 9th of July and received nothing, zip, nada - they had none of the items available although all said they were 'In Stock' - and now have cancelled my order reluctantly but are not refunding me. I cancelled the order a week or so a go, and still no contact or refunds.

I phoned today and was told the systems were down and to call back in an hour, he reluctantly agreed to ring me back.

This is absolutely the worst service I have ever received from any company, ever - if they were on the verge of bankruptcy and trying to run with my money I could completely understand my position but this is meant to be a company trying to take over the likes of Amazon.

Unreal.
Long story short, he never called back - I phoned up again and spoke to someone else -

Apparently there is only (and I quote) "one woman doing refunds and she cant possibly do all refunds in one go" - he said he'd ask her to expedite my refund.

It's such a strange company, because their website is great, their staff for the most part seem really friendly and professional - but they are let down completely by the fact they can't supply any of the products (lol).
• @dLockers, hope u paid by card - conact your bank see if they can get your money back

ANYONE ORDERING AND NOT RECEIVING GOODS, DON'T!! CANCEL ORDER WAIT UNTIL 15 DAYS THEN CONTACT YOUR BANK, THEY MAY BE ABLE TO CLAIM MONEY BACK FOR NONE RECEIPT OF GOODS, THIS WOULD BE QUICKEST WAY OF GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK.
• So, after ordering 4 items on 5th April, I got 3 of them on 27th June. I was assured that I would be getting a refund then for the 4th item, nothing has materialised.

I now have received another promise of a refund with no indication of timeframe. I just asked them to tell me when they plan to give me my money. Let's see if that goes the way of the other promised refunds.

I, like others am totally baffled as to how they are allowed to keep trading. This behaviour is verging on fraudulent, and certainly outside the bounds of any reasonable expectations anyone would have from a company.

it's all smoke and mirrors and has just left a bunch of people feeling annoyed. Since i bought computer components, They were in danger of being obselete by the time I recevied them.

AVOID USING THIS COMPANY. DO NOT READ REVIEWS, THEY ARE MOSTLY BOGUS. THEY REMOVED MY CRITICAL REVIEW.
• Okay guys, heres the crack with these guys:

The refund process is automated.
Gary Prestell is a mythical character, he doesn't exist.

If you email 'bslater@waeplus.com'; 'dcresswell@waeplus.com'; 'management@waeplus.com' altogether and request read and delivery receipts - mention in your email 'Section 75', 'Reviews', your Order # as the subject line and keep it professional you should get a fairly immediate bounce back saying they are expediting your refund.

I sent the email at 21:55 Thursday 1st of August
I had a reply from Gary Prestell, which had obviously obtained my details from my order number being placed so prominently at 22:04 the same evening.

Now unless 'Gary' was keen, it seems this is an automated complaints handling 'bot' so is triggered by certain words.

Low and behold, I have a refund in my CC today.

Rules for WAE plus? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!
• I have placed the order on the 22nd July and this was due to be delivered between the 5th and 7th August. Rang them today and guess what it will take another 10 to 12 working days to get the item to their offices and then another couple to be delivered to me. After reading this thread i cancelled the order and threatened legal action if they do not return my money within a couple of days.
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE.:money:

I will wait 2 days and then report them to the fraud and trading standards office if no money is paid.
• The worst customer service ever, goods in stock not delivered, ignored repeated emails following up, now cancelled and waiting four weeks, still no refund.

It seems from all the feedback this is their business model - I have reported to Birmingham trading standards and will post on Feefo and Trustpilot.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Part IN STOCK ordered 25th June @ cost of ~£75; told to expect delivery between 5th-9th July. Contacted their customer support on the 11th July to be told that they were expecting a shipment following Wednesday (despite originally quoted as 'In Stock') and that I would receive it a few days thereafter. By the 22nd July part had not arrived , so I requested the order be cancelled and a refund issued.
I expected a "Faster BACS" transfer of the monies back to my account (the method I had used to pay them) but when not having received the refund by the 24th, I contacted their customer support once more to be told that it would take 30 days for a refund! I requested an escalation to management and was given an email address and told that it would get me a reply in 4 hours. I received an automated reply on the 30th (after a second email sent on the 29th) saying that a refund would follow in the next 1-3 working days.
As of today 16th Aug, no refund or further acknowledgement has been received from the company, leaving me considering what legal action I can take. Have passed on my case notes to Birmingham Trading Standards and will warn others through as many channels like this as possible, so that as few people as possible get caught out by this company's trading practices.
I have now submitted a report on the company via actionfraud.police.uk If enough of us can take the time to do this, then maybe someone will do something about stopping their current practices.
• Appalling!!!

I ordered a pretty standard Epson printer on the 2nd July. Now it 's 16th August and the printer has not been delivered. The worst is that several e-mails have been ignored, customer service was pathetic. I have just cancelled the order and I hope I will receive my money back.

I know that they always offer a discount for BACS payments. This is because if you use a credit card you have a much better chance of getting your money back! With BACS you have no other way of getting your money back. That's why they do it. I just don't understand why they are allowed to carry on using this ploy of pretending they have stock, then taking a very long time to refund. They must be making money in two ways - interest on the money they are holding, and 'free' money from those who just can't be bothered to pursue them. I wonder if they ever have any stock and ever actually send something out? Why do Birmingham Trading Standards allow them to continue?
