In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

What a busy few days! Land still hasn't gone through  but we have paid the money
There is a slim chance it will go through by the end of this week.
New job starts today. Decided to try and drive to London. Left at 6 and got in for 7.15 which is way quicker than the train (and I get a good milage rate)
Its weird being the first in the office tho - that's never happened before:D
Bday over weekend so got treated.
Busy week this week, 3 days in London, xmas do's and gotta help a mate with her business tomorrow (in exchange for riding lessons and eyelashes so well worth it!!)

How did job go? Intrigued that you could be first in on first day!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

What a week. Thanks for the bday wishes, it was a lovely day.
Work went well this week. I was the first one in the office most days but that's only due to the travelling and not keenness (not that they know that of course!)
On the downside, with 24 hrs before completion the 'lady' we were buying the field from pulled out and accepted a higher offer from someone else. I'm unbelievably angry and of course we still need to pay all the solicitors fees. Gutted. I hope karma comes back round and bites her on the !!!!!!!!Mortgage starting balance 2011 ... £170k today £1.5k
