Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Also, I have just found out my friend has gone for the job too so that's annoying as I brought it to her attention saying I was going to apply for it!

That would have annoyed me too!

  • Yeah that is very sly of her! Definitely keep your cards close to your chest until you sign on the dotted line, then you could get a recruitment bonus for her too.... ;)

Hi ATT, thanks! I'm chuffed :)

Hey Floppy, I'm glad people are seeing my point of view on this. The funny thing is when I told her I was going for it, she gave me loads of ideas for my interview so I used them!! No doubt she'll use them too but hopefully their think she copied me!! I think the recruitment bonus sounds reasonable :)
It kinda makes it worse because I'm on the redundancy list and she isn't! She also said she didn't really want the job but its a 'good way to the top' !!!!!!!

    Morning!!

At home again today so more petrol saved. I'm only putting in 2 tanks a month at the moment whereas 3 months ago I was putting in 5/6 so massive savings.
Fire lit with my free coal.
Shop at Mr T's last night - had a £6 off £40 voucher and got my weeks meals plus top up stuff for £42 so only £36 this week
Just rememeber tax due this month but will wait for pay day and hope that the disc turns up quickly!
Signature updated. Land is taking soooo long that my savings are looking healthly!!

  • i would not be too upset about your freind going for the job - everyone has to look after their own interests. Most of my freinds are in the same line of work as me and we have been in the same position at times - we don't take it personally and let it affect our freindship. One guy got himself a job which we were all jealous of, a year later he introduced me to his employers and a job was created for me another year on and we have done the same for another old workmate - so it all works out in the end.

Good luck today - free fuel - i am so jealous!
