I know what you mean but it just seems a bit of a rip of to me to have to pay £2.20 every month when i'm trying to save money wherever i can, most important thing is that you are happy with whatever you decide is best for you.

I thought originally that you could get a payzone card. In reality I will set up a DD or send them a monthly cheque. There is no way I'll pay £2.20 a month over the next 23 years.0

Lonely - I'm sorry to hear about that little ****. Just think of what a sad little life he must have when the only kicks he gets are to harrass people and make them cry. Arrrrghhh, there should be a law against that kind of thing, I'm sure the police aren't even allowed to speak like that to prisoners. Big hugs for you today :grouphug:
Thanks for the advice hunteress, I'll leave it a bit longer before starting to panic properly!
I was a bit concerned to hear that Morgan Stanley don't work with PayPlan. I thought they were one of the front-runners in this kind of shenanagin alongside CCCS?Member #4 of the DMP Mutual Support Club - DFW Nerd #335

Sea, I got a password in the post yesterday from CCCS. I think they send them out when your DMPis up and running so you should receive one soon I think, don't know for sure.

In ideal world what I want is to have a normal life now. I want to go through the month without hassle. I want to make that payment like any normal payment and think of it as 1 big creditor getting a payment. I don't want to keep thinking "debt debt debt". Do you think it gets to that stage? I know I'm not being a realist but this has consumed me for so long (as I'm sure it has the rest of you too) and I just want a happy ending.0

emmy1 wrote:HI just been reading through the previous posts, Im starting a DMP first paymet end of this month. In the meantime ive made token payments with my new debit card for my basic bank account, was this the wrong thing to do? someone posted that payplan said this was the wrong thing to do, I dont have a check book with my new account so thought this would be ok. does it matter that the creditors have my new details?
I think lonely was suggesting that she was corrected for using her new debit card with her creditors as a separate thing to her DMP. I think keeping your parachute account away from your creditors is a good thing0 -
Hi Ex
I think it will definitely become like that. Looks like we'll all be paying towards a DMP for quite a while (14 years for me) so it must become routine. It's certainly not financially beneficial for the creditors to keep hassling us - think of all the costs involved for them. I guess it's just the financial review each year with PP/CCCS and for the rest of the year we forget about it. They way I'm looking at it, it will be like my student loan coming out each month, I'll think of it like another tax, not part of my actual net income.
Remember as well that we are likely to pay it off quicker than expected. The way you're going with Quidco that will happen in no time (is that all cashback- still don't really understand these sites!). Perhaps we should start a "DMP Mutual Suporters Lottery Syndicate"?!Member #4 of the DMP Mutual Support Club - DFW Nerd #335
