Quidco is a cashback website, when you shop online you log into quidco and go to the website you want through them and then get so many % back

lonely have a read of the 'about us' on quidco http://www.quidco.com/help/22/

I received a letter from Abbey credit cards (MBNA) today - they can't accept our offer and are going to sell the debt if we don't meet what they think is an acceptable offer. I'll be glad to see the back of them so I hope they do sell it.

Capital One have written to me and want me to sign a form giving my authorisation for them to deal with Payplan before they consider the offer. Capital One froze all interest as soon as we told them we were in financial difficulties so hopefully they'll accept the offer and keep the interest frozen.
First DMP payment (Payplan) February 2007
    Total debt: £30503.40

I'm proud to be dealing with my debts

Lonely with Quidco you can get money back on things you would be buying anyway. For example. My car insurance quote came through as £450. I bought from Direct Line via Quidco. The policy cost £297 and I got £60 cash back. There are more insurers on there giving £120 cashback but they don't cover my area. You also get money for doing daily searches.
  • Glad to hear its all going well for everbody, I made my first payment to cccs on Wednesday (how liberating is that!!) but I need advice - I've posted this in a seperate thread too but I really need some advice. Please accept my apologies if you've had to read it twice!
I'm feeling seriously stressed! Our tax credit has been reduced from £104 p/w to £19 p/w for the rest of the month - OUCH!!! Got a letter last week thought it was about next years claim so gave them a call, nothing has changed since I rang them in September when I finished work, anyway seems they've paid us too much through the year so basically tough. Our income has dropped by over £3,000 this year our payments haven't really increased and now they've reduced - nothing I can do about that just wanted a whinge. Was so proud cause did really well with money management last month and started with cccs on 1st march and now we're going to be over £300 down for the month!!

My other worry is my dmp, have received a letter from hsbc saying they will accept my reduced payment (no reference to cccs) but only if I accept a "managed loan" consolidating my other debts (all my debt with them) for £24,480 with interest to be added of £22,354.23 and 144 payments of £325.24!!! This means repaying £46,834.23 , how can they justify this!!! DO I HAVE TO ACCEPT OR CAN I CONTINUE WITH CCCS - I'm worried because they've matched my dmp payment what do I do. PLEASE HELP I HAVE A BUBBLE OF PANIC RISING IN MY GUT - after doing so well over the last couple of weeks this just feels like a boot in the belly. Should have known it was too good to last! Thanks for listening.
    xx

Can you ask Tax Credits to take back their overpayment over a longer period of time?

Don't let HSBC hassle you. I know how you feel as I felt a bit like that yesterday. Phone CCCS and they will settle you down and advise what you should do.

Thanks Spendaholic took your advice just rang cccs and I'm not obliged to accept it - thank goodness. Lovely lady said my debt would probably be passed on to Metropolitan anyone have any experience of them? Thanks again When I spoke to Tax Credit yesterday the gentleman was very sympathetic admitted it was their mistake but basically nothing they could do. Will just have to make the belt tighter again this month. Thanks again I do appreciate your advice.

Definitely not too good to be true :D

I got £100 back on my car insurance, and roughly get £20 a month from them for general things I buy. HMV do 7% for example so I buy all my birthday/xmas gifts through that,

Don't take the Managed Loan! They are terrible

They'll cave eventually, they did for us. Good luck :)
