Got a letter from mbna today, didnt like my first pymt offer of £42 per month, want £63 to avoid sending to a third party and defaulting me. What should I do then?

kevster - don't pay them anymore than cccs have advised, it could jepodise (don't think that's spelt right but you know what I mean!) your DMP.
If you are being hassled for bigger payments just say you are on a dmp with cccs and they have had you I+E figures and there is no more money available. Quote your CCCS ref number, be polite but firm and refer them back to CCCS.

THEY RECEIVE PRO-RATA PAYMENTS AS DO ALL YOUR CREDITORS AND IF YOU ARE SEEN TO BE FAVOURING ONE ABOVE THE OTHERS IT WILL ONLY CAUSE TROUBLE.

    Hope this helps

    Hi

I've received a default, no big deal to me! Just means that then they stop interest and charges - just keep sending them the money & inform the relevant people if it is referred to the DCA. They will most likeyl accept the payment anyway.
Can be scarey anyway so hugs to you.

thanks, I thought as much but wanted some support!

Morning all! Just spoken to the Student Loan people who were very pleasant!
They'd not received any paperwork yet from CCCS - although my account with them has been passed to so many different loan companies over the years, I possibly gave CCCS the wrong addy!

Just sent off a quick email to CCCS to sort this out, but in the meantime the Loans company have put a note on the file ensuring I don't get any calls for a while.

Bit of a result, I think!

    Have a good day everyone!
