TOTALLYFEDUP - I'm so sorry to hear about your awful day.
I don't know anything about CCJs but i just wanted to send you a hug.:grouphug:
Maybe it might be a good idea to start a seperate thread on this question so you would get the advice of the whole of the DFW forum. I'm sure there are many people who can give you some helpful advice.
Take care

Hi guys,
Sorry to hear lots of us are having bad days. yellowmonkey, I'm so so sorry to here about the PayPlan decision. I feel bad because I maybe made you think you had more disposable income than you do. Maybe your patner's income will make a different. Please let us know what happens.
lonely - I can't believe the PayPlan woman treated you like that. I'm with PayPlan and they've been fine so far, but I'll watch out for her in the future! Maybe she's got personal problems, I certainly snap at my pupils when I shouldn't at times, but even still.... What can you do to sort it out. Sorry I have no advice to offer
Sea - that's not so good about the Barclaycard statement. It's highs and lows, eh? I think we hold on to every little bit of hope, but it's so easily dashed. I also understand about the supply work issue. Try to keep smiling :rolleyes2
fed up - The online bingo thing shouldn't come into that if it's for a small amount, or you would think. I might be in the same boat because I used my card to put £5 on JackPotJoy (just so I could get £20 cashback on Pigsback!!!). What will you do now.
Hi everyone too!
As for me, well............... I hit a blooming pheasant on the way to work. Realised much later on that it's totally smashed the plastic bit of my headlight. I thought it would just be another plastic cover to pay for, but my Dad said it will probably be a whole unit, as they are all sealed now a days. Many many pennies me thinks  The problem is that I am just starting my DMP so haven't built up a car maintenance pot of money, so can't afford it. Don't think I should be driving with it like that, but have no way to get to work. Also need to do a 5 hour return journey on Thursday for a course. Nightmare. Added to that I have no time to put it in the garage.
Anyone know about cars?!

yellowmonkey - Really sorry to hear that PP couldn't help. As others have suggested, definitely try CCCS - I'm fairly sure there are people on this forum who've set up DMPs for much less than the surplus you have to play around with.
Lonely - Again, sorry to hear about that phonecall. It's not what they should be doing, but I suppose everyone can have a bad day (I'm thinking of the helper here...)? I'm always keen to think the best of people, but that obviously wasn't the call you wanted. Hopefully, your next call to them will be a bit more pleasant!
No real downsides today for me - still waiting for Citibank to send me my account details though - which is getting a bit worrying, as my Insurance people have sent a letter to urgently send them new DD instructions. If things don't come tomorrow, I'll be phoning them again (although I kind of think that the cheque I sent them as part of the ID process has probably bounced, which might be the cause of the delay  That said, I wouldn't have expected them to say 'yes, you have been approved' though. Fingers crossed on this particular hurdle.
Still keep on smiling guys (and gals!).
This thread certainly keeps me going, and despite my regrets on some of your bad days, the very fact we have a thread like this going on makes those bad days a bit easier to take!

Well said Joek.
I've just made myself a budgeting spreadsheet (sad closet-Excel fan!). I get paid on Wednesday and given that it's my first proper month on my DMP, I wanted to do it properly. I've worked out that I will have JUST enough money to pay up to £250 for my new headlight unit. Does anyone think it will be more than that? All advice greatly appreciated!Member #4 of the DMP Mutual Support Club - DFW Nerd #335

Hi everyone,
smilealot - sorry to hear about your light trouble, I have no ideas about cars. The only thing I do know is that they are bloody expensive!!!
got mine back from my mechanic today and hr said he had done what he could but it may not be ok for it's mot re-test on Thursday.
He thinks it may need new cables or something and if it does he hasn't got the equiptment to replace them so i'll have to let a garage do it!!!
Like you I've only just started my DMP and so haven't got any funds set aside yet for car maintenance.
Think I may have to sell my body and then try to get a l oan for the rest of the money!:rotfl:

Hi Teecee :hello:
Thanks for the message. Cars are soooooo expensive! Sorry to hear about your one. I'll keep all of my crossable body parts crossed for you on Thursday
I've got a Toyota Aygo. Bought it last year (last big pre-LBM extravagence). Bought new as it's a cheap car anyway and I wouldn't have unexpected outgoings because it's got a long warranty. Didn't factor in the pheasant risk though... :rotfl:
I'll join you in selling our bodies to pay for car expenses. We could start a separate thread - "The DFW Ladies & Gentlemen of the Night Mutual Support Group". I'd need a support group when I realised that no one wanted me for my body

Evening all.
Hugs to everyone who needs one today.
Take a deep breath..tommorow is another day.
For all of you starting out, i rembember being there 14 months or so ago, it is hard but stick at it, not all my creditors stopped interest at first and i had 14 creditors at the time, all apart from 1 has now stopped interest but they have agreed to the dmp.
As for ccjs, im sure a judge would look badly on the fact that you have offered payment through a dmp and the company have refused hence wasting the courts time.
And for those of you still getting interest applied, think about reclaiming these back with the same guidelines as claiming your bank charges back, i know i am now going for all charges back from my remaining creditors after beating the bank.
My rough estimaate is it would clear another £3800 of debt if i get these back.
Keep smiling everyone..
Donna
