    Evening everyone !

Just a quick post to say that I am about but have been busy at work and on nights so I have been out of the loop a bit. Glad to see some new names have joined "our gang".

Well, what a result I have had with the Financial Ombudsman. Some of you may remember that first thing this Monday just gone I rang the F.Ombudsmand to complain about Lloyds not acknowledging our DMP with payplan, continually calling and harrassing us and still wacking extortionate interest on the account.

That was Monday. Today I get a letter in the Post from LLoyds. let me find it...It is from the Customer Service Recovery Centre - Brighton
Tel 01273 742315....well this is a new one I thought and I was dealing with Andover.

They say they are sorry we have had cause to complain. Blah blah..
I have arranged for a member of my customer service recovery team to carry out an immediate investigation so that you will receive a full response from us. Because of the issues you have raised, it may take a little time to gather all of the information together, but we will respond to you within 28 days.

    Really ???????

Then we realised that we have had no calls from them at all this whole week.

Way to Go Financial Ombudsman !!

Good job with the ombudsman :T and glad to hear you haven't had anything nasty lately.

i've had an excellent day, told by barclayacrd and morgan stanley that they have agreed to dmp, and frozen interest, capital 1 are almost there so only CO-OP Bank to go!

Isn't it refreshing to get some good news for a change!!:D

Do you think with having these people agree to the DMP that they'll give us peace now for 6 months? I have to confess that I'm really looking forward to no phone calls.

    Hi All

Little post before I go to bed. Called Northern Rock as could'nt face worrying about it all weekend, They seemed quite nice about it and said that they will hold the account and wait for the £5 payment to arrive in April and if possible send them £5 for March. I cant believe they are going to be that easy!!!!!

My husband got a letter from MBNA saying that if he dos'nt pay the minimum payment that they wont, then the debt will be passed onto a third party. I ve got a feeling that MBNA will be a nightmare.

Glad to here some of you are getting some luck.

LONELY - Dont worry know one knows about our debt and people think that we are really careful with money. I feel so guilty for my children that's what gets me the most. I just dont want them to suffer in the future for our mess.

  • Morning everyone

Hope we are all okay today....the sun is shining and the Postman didn't bring anything nasty..but then again I don't care 'cause I am winning the Lottery tonight so it isn't gonna matter !

No really, I am glad that we are all bumbling along okay.

Scared - Please don't think you are alone. I have kids too and we had to tell them as they were old enough to understand that we couldn't always do this and that and we had to be careful with our money. It IS hard but they have been great and its suprising how thoughtful they are when it comes to money matters. School holidays will have one treat like a trip or so and thats that. we live in the countryside and they have bikes and they can do what we did. Make the most of what you have. I do feel guilty but it does instill a sense of responsibility in them when it comes to money. They are used to our MSE saaving money ways now so thats good.

Njc - Stressy days happen to me too but I can say hand on heart that they really got fewer and further between when it all started to even out. Promise.

Kely - Glad you are okay...speak soon.

    Sally x
