    Hi all!

It does seem a rare occurrance to get time to come here, but lovely to know everyone's still sharing the knowledge!

I had a pleasant surprise yesterday. Received an email from EGG, with the usual 'your statement's ready' thing.

I decided to pop over there and see the 'damage'. Now, as far as I'm aware, one of the cards should now have been closed, and they were planning to take things to a debt collector. That hasn't happened yet anyway, but the REALLY good thing is that looking at the LOAN part, it looks like they've accepted the proposal! Certainly there's now no interest, and the end date for the loan is in tune with the DMP end.

Don't quite understand how the different parts of EGG work really, but still - it's another one who has accepted, so that can't be too bad.

Hope you're all incredibly well, and I'll try to catch up soon (off to lovely work now:()!

    Joe.

Hi YM (quick reply before I leave...:D)

It's very strange with the EGG thing. I have 2 cards and a loan with them. One of the cards has been fairly standard - loads of fairly angry letters moanign at me, and finally mentioning that they've closed it down and are sending to someone else.

However, the other ones have been quiet!

Whether it's all just the standard automated letters just coming through I'm not sure...It's certainly not worrying me at the moment though!

Realistically, it makes sense for EGG to keep me on I would have thought - I've made clear intentions that I'll be paying them back practically everything, so if they were to sell off the loan, then they're going to lose out fairly substantially, I'd have thought!

We'll see - good luck for you though!

  • Hi Joek
I would be happy that egg has passed debt on. At least the angry letters will stop and hopefully you should now deal with a sane company!

    morning everyone,

welcome finallygettingsmewhere Sainsbury's bank is one of my creditors. 2 1/2 months into my DMP they are just ignoring letters at the moment and adding interest and charges. May need some of your info for dealing with them.

SMILE, sounds like you are back to your smiley self again. I heard about the site from watching Martin on TV. I first came on to get cheap phone calls abroad about 1 1/2yrs ago. I only came across the forums in january 2007. im so glad i did

I would also like to thank everyone on here for there support.

    :j THANKS :j

    TEECEE, glad your feeling brighter.

HARDLEYLISA we bank with Nationwide and was told we can only draw £500 over the counter but draw another £250 from the ATM. This rubbish, sorry is it our money we are asking for?????

    Morning.

Luckily i think she only has a bug as she did not eat at all yesterday. She is on the sofa feeling all sorry for herself at the moment. I think the bottom lip is even touching her toes. Poor thing :kisses3:

Done menu for the week and now off to do the shopping for it all.

    Morning all.

Thanks for all the advice. I think I will give Barclays a ring on Monday to see how much I can withdraw over the counter. If its £500 thats okay because hopefully I can then withdraw the other £100 from the cash machine.

I am now off shopping. I have done a meal planner for the week. My aim is no more than £50 (2 adults and 2 children). I will let you know how well I do.

Have a good Sunday and speak to you all later.
