Afternoon all
Well all reasonably quiet on the IDA front! Work is still good, had forgotten the pleasure of doing an easy job, no staff to supervise, no "real" responsibilty, no budget to manage etc etc, its so nice to go in do the work and come home! Only been back two weeks so its definately still the honeymoon period ask me again in 6 months :rotfl: ! Uni is great, starting the revision process now  first exam in five ( ) weeks!! But the first two years are really a learning curve, reintroducing us oldies to learning, essay writing, reading etc - so not too much pressure:rolleyes: ! Still no news from Abbey I'm going to check out the bank charges forum in a minute and see where I go next, think I have to lodge a formal complaint cause they've had the £10 since February but still no statements! As for HSBC re charges, nothing from them either sent the second letter recorded delivery on Monday. Have just checked my account online and the !!!!!! again took the s/o for the loan out of the current account and returned it and charged me £25 for the privelage  , so CCCS paid £35.05 into the current account, HSBC then charged me £22.92 interest and £25.00 charge for returning the loan payment, so my o/d actually increased by another £12.87   ! How can they justify this??? Less of me, this post is turning into an epic, seems like the first chance I've had to visit here properly for ages!
Welcome back ex sorry to here things have been getting you down - virtual hug coming your way! Go for the charges from what I've heard its completely seperate from the mortgage, but I'd open a parachute account for your day to day money just in case.
Hi teecee glad all is going well in your world - can't believe we're at payment 3 already!
Newlywed you'll have to let us see some wedding photos when you get them! Hope you enjoy your anniversary weekend, my oh and I have been married 24 years this year and shamefully have never celebrated any anniversaries!!
ILGD I know what you mean about waiting for the postman, I'm the same but more cause I want to intercept the post before oh! Now I'm at work she always comes after I've gone and he always sees it, he opened the default last week and never mentioned it - so shouldn't really worry.
Sweety delighted things are moving on for you!
Hi Joek hope all well with you and yours!
Hey smile great to hear from you, pain about natwest there's always one - I swear they just stall to make things more awkward!! Take care!
Well I'm worried this post is going to fill the page so I think I better sign off. Sorry if I haven't mentioned you, its not deliberate (unlike Joek I don't play favourites :rotfl: :rotfl: ) and will try to be in touch soon. I do love my virtual family!
Take care, love and hugs

IDA, well that's why I'm insisting we go away at least for a day or two. Not having our very first anniversary pass as a normal day! Not sure OH quite gets it but nevermind! 24 years is quite an achievement. Break your tradition and plan how to celebrate your 25th!!!
We did a picnic in the park with strawberries and champagne etc for mum and dad's 25th.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hi everyone hope you all are doing o.k.
Had two letters from creditors today:-
Argos :- reminding us that we are behind and that we need to pay now, either by debit card or c/c ??????????
LLOYDSTSB :- This one wasen't too good, then i don't blame them they are one of our highest creditors.Warning us to pay the arrears by c/c or debit card,or if we have account with them they will take the funds from there. We do have but all priority bills with a different bank now.
When can we expect any of our creditors to accept our DMP.On a real downer now,the TUNNEL does'nt seem to have a light at the moment.

Sorry can't help as still waiting to make my first payment to DMP.
But...
The TUNNEL does have a light there, just that there is a bend in the road and you need to get round it first before you can see the lightworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Virtual hugs coming your way craftingqueen I so know how you're feeling - but things will get better. In my experience being in debt is definately a roller coaster ride - just stay positive and remember you're in a better place than you were before because you're dealing with it, and YOU ARE in control!! Take care.
love and hugs

crafting queen.......just read the post.im with lloydstsb and they have been really good but have had the debt with them years.even put them on my cccs dmp trasnferred from my own and and id been paying that since well before1996.they agreed straightawy but its only £450 ish so its prob cos its small.never missed a dmp with them in all that time so they know ill pay.
takes awhile to get the dmp sorted cos they try to hold out as long as poss for all the charges they can,but im sure it will be sorted soon.
have heard from all mine(13)except solutions. nothing since feb, even stopped the statements so god knows how much i owe but am not contacting them to ask!too bloody scared!!!
my dmp goes out on 10th of month to cccs and will be 3rd payment.mint cc have been worst and its the smallest debt.pay them £5 on he dmp and was only £8 normal payment.put the limit down from £450 to £400 cos i owed £420 just to slap a £12 overlimit charge as well as all the other charges.would fone but its an 0870 no and will only get mad at them!!
anyway, am sending a hug and positive thoughts your way.xxPeople bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with

Thank you, newlywed, indebt, ilovegreatdanesi sure do need all your support,i'm at a real low at the moment. It's the not knowing whats gonna happen, that's getting to me.Really scared as our debt is well over 50k and reading on the forum about charges on your house or worst thing is being force to sell our home.Being a family of seven,me and hubby where reckless with money not our children's fault it's ours i feel so guilty.Proud to be No. 61 in the DMP mutual support group.0
