Winkus - enjoy your bath, goodnight

Bluediamond - hugs.:grouphug: I thought a lot of businesses paid early when bank holidays were involved. I have the opposite problem - have the money but want to pay it into the bank to cover the DD's due out but it wont get there in time. Have you already got a couple of eggs or other treats in for the weekend. Entertainment doesn't have to cost money. The weather should be good so spend the day at the park, beach, in the woods etc. Go rolling some eggs even if you don't have kids. Have you forgotten how much fun that could be?

I hope you manage to have a good weekend despite not having the money you thought you might.

Blue diamond - so sorry to hear of your troubles - hope that you are still able to have a nice weekend

Sorry to everyone else - I seem to have blinkers on and not really take in things that are happening to big hugs to anyone having difficulties.kotc.gif

In a bit of a state = having to spend a 'family' weekend and OH hasn't told them we're splitting, oh joy. Still not given me any mone so think things are going to go tits up on Tuesday as have very little money left in account.

I really don't like myself but realise it's the person I've become with him, not my innerself that I was before. Don't know how to get me back really. Loasd s of things I recognise that's wrong but do't know how to fix them..

Anyway enough random waffling from me.

    Hi guys,

Sorry to hear about your troubles Bluediamond and Scottishmummy. I hope you can try to forget about them for the weekend (hard I know).

Joek - I'd open a separate savings account (maybe an instant-access ISA) and put your bonus in that (separate from your DMP pots of money for car maintenance etc). If you have enough by the time you'd plan to book it, go for it! If not, postpone it for a while. Feel proud that you will pay for it without credit. The PayPlan man initially helping me told me to save for a holiday cos I deserved it :T

Sea - hope you enjoyed your walk. Is your OH planning to stay in the house for now? That must be difficult for you. Take care poppet.

    Teecee - how are you?

    Hi to everyone else!

I'm okay but feeling a bit annoyed. I travelled back to Scotland today to visit my parents and the first thing my dad said was "Barclaycard having been phoning here asking to speak to you". I was really upset by this as they don't know anything about it. I've been dropping hints about me being skint and being sensible nowadays but they are recovering from a massive financial upheaval themselves and don't need to be worrying about me. Can I call Barclaycard and tell them to not call me there as it is not my address?

Also a bit stressed that I haven't fixed my car yet and the service is due. People are commenting "why isn't that car of your's fixed yet?". It's £220+ altogether - no car maintanence pot built up. Dunno how I'm going to do it.

    Take care,

    hi smile :hello:

Just ring barclays and tell them old address owners have contacted you - tell them you want to know when they want to contact you at such and such address and here are your details - act all concerned about them (barclays - ie butter them up!!) and they might not contact at old address again?
