Poor Sea, I'm really worried about her.

Hi everyone else. Well done with the bank charges folks, making me think I should do mine soon.

Sorry don't have time to say hi individually as I have a friend staying just now so am not around much. (Although to Lonely & YM - I haven't had any acceptances yet, in fact, not all of my balances have been confirmed, nevermind offers made. What about you?)

Hope to catch up wit you soon Teecee :hello:

No idea what's going to happen financially with the DMP - OH has said all debt is mine (hah!). Just have to wait for legal advice next week.

Will be on more later - thanks guys :)

Huntress - bank charges can only be claimed 6 years back and if you have all the statements go straight to the second letter in the system :) Martin has the plan of action somewhere, I'm assuming you're using that!

Smilealot - hope you're enjoying having your frend over, sometimes hte disttraction from debt an be a welcome relief eh?

Teecee - I have slight sunburn from yesterday!! How mad in April!

YM- thanks for your post on the other thread (haven't checked it since this afternoon so there might be more) and I hope you manage to sort things all out. xx

    Hi.

Last post from me today in what has been a topsy turvy sort of day. I think all of our money problems take a second seat regarding relationships and support from our loved ones. I have had a good day compared to some and I have managed to post off my bank charge reclaim form. Hopefully get some joy!!.
Smilealot So far I have only had 2 balances confirmed nothing else set in stone thus far. I must admit though Payplan for me have been very good.
To everyone else(Sea especially) Take care and have a good night:grouphug: .
Dont know what you are all doing for the holidays but I am taking the brood out to a enchanted forest tomorrow (Tonbridge wells) they have a easter egg hunt and pantomine organised. Will catch up when I get back.
Have a good day tomorrow and may all your post be junk mail

    Hi lovely people.

What a wonderfully warm and sunny day it was today.

I might have been at work, but it was lovely nonetheless!

No post of any note again today, so nothing to report on that front.

Sea - you're in my thoughts, and I hope you start to feel a bit better really soon. I'm not sure if I can be of any help, but if ever you need to moan or winge (not exactly a shoulder to cry on, but at least I can give you eyes to read and a response!), then just give me a PM.

Hey, that goes for the rest of you too though!

If nothing else, I may be able to help people with useless information!

hi all welcome to all the newbies
i have a question regarding back charges i have all my statements for the last 7 years(proberly more to be honest)
can i use them or do i have to sent chq for £10 to get copies as the amount they are adding on at the moment is disgusting .

    Hi huntress
this may well have been answered but as I understand if you already have the statements you can go straight in with the charges reclaiming. Thats what I've done with HSBC £2,000+ . Sent letter recorded delivery last Friday so hopefully will here by next Friday. Abbey National I threw all the statements away last year  so had to send the £10, not received anything yet, 40 days is up tommorrow but no post cause of bank holiday will go in all guns blazing on Tuesday. I'd say just add up the charges and go for it. Hope that helps

Hmm. Well this is a bit strange. I just logged into my Citibank account to check on the direct debits.

Good news - CCCS have set up the DD, so my future payments should go through automatically.

Bad new - There's a direct debit on there I cannot work out who from!

No merchant detail available, only a name - 'L B Hackney - Rates'.

Citibank are unable to give me any other details, and I'm wondering what else it could be!

The only DDs i can think of are -

    Insurance (which is there)
    Orange broadband (which is there)
    CCCS (which is there)

The other one I set up was for my phone line with BT, but if this is for that one (which I'm starting to think it is - curses! I can't find a BT statement) - why does it have a strange name attached?

I suppose I don't have much choice in the matter, but waiting to see what happens?

Edit: Nope! Not BT...I'm puzzled! Tempted to cancel it, but...
