I can't think of any sweets! I remember getting 'Funny feet' from the ice cream van, but I think they're still available! I remember space invader crisps used to be such a bigger bag and fruit salads & black jacks used to be 1/2 a penny each.

All the colours of the rainbow!

I think I may well be obsessed!

I think I have such fond memories of them because I so rarely eat sweets these days!

Not that I can afford them!

Anyway, sweet dreams everyone, I'm away to bed again...

    Goodnight everyone:)

Hello again all and welcome cuba cat
Was mint kraknell the large cholcolate squares (you got two I think) with hard green mint crisp in? What about bazookas, you could collect the little cartoon things inside and send of for things (kids version of green shield stamps - anyone remember them). Perhaps we should rename this thread "sweet" nostalgia!!!
    xx

That's exactly what it was. Remember bazookas but was it not water transferable tattoos they had.

Oooh had forgotten all about those. Used to get them at the same time as cherry lips.

Night Joek By the time you come back tomorrow we may have started talking about our debts again:rotfl:

    Joek- Night night!

Valley's girl - fantastic news! Good luck with the other six!

Have UFOs been mentioned? All that lovely sherbert (sherbet?)- and liquorice and sherbert dips -oooooh

Upped my DMP payment officially now - payments to all creditors doubled - not so hard as it was so low to start! Hopefully HSBC will accept and stop their shennigans.

  • No that was the flat chewing gum can't remember what they were called, bazookas were the oblong chew sized pink ones. Mint kracknell always seemed quite posh, mind you those were the days when (in our house anyway) things like mars and marathon were older kids/adult sweets little kids had 5p mix, freddo, fudge or single milky way etc. Oh I was so deprived although I have made up for it over the years - lol!!

  • Night Joek "sweet" dreams
    congrats valley girl great news.
It's late and the remanissence(sp eek) of "sweet" days of old are making me smile - oh for those innocent days when debt was a word we'd never heard of and "lots of money was 10p" for a de-di (ice cream) or sweets. aaahh!
