I started writing the letters but it started doing my head in! So I didn't in the end - didn't seem to make a difference for me!

This will no doubt make me look really thick (not hard!) but I'm pretty new to the site and am wondering what all the acronyms mean? What is DMP and CCCS? Managed to work out LBM and DFD all on my own!

Hi Cuba Cat - welcome!

There aren't any stupid questions here! I didn't know what these things were before joining here!

A DMP is a Debt Management Plan - whereby you set up a proposal to all your creditors to say this is how much you can pay and I can pay no more!

CCCS is a registered charity devoted to helping folk like us who are in debt and need a hand. They can help you budget, draw up proposals and take you on as a client - you'll pay them a monthly amount which they then distribute out to your creditors...It's free, and you do not pay anything to them which doesn't go out to your banks and credit card folk.

I use them and they're bloody brilliant!

I dunno there....all the talk of sweets and dogs and things might make him think it's all a bit of a jolly!

Either that, or he'll appreciate the nostalgic look at our fave sugary treats!

We all need a little bit of lighthearted fun now and again. No-ones mentioned Mint kracknell yet. Used to get to share one with my dad everytime the ice-cream van went round on a Sunday.

Was mint kraknell the large cholcolate squares (you got two I think) with hard green mint crisp in? What about bazookas, you could collect the little cartoon things inside and send of for things (kids version of green shield stamps - anyone remember them). Perhaps we should rename this thread "sweet" nostalgia!!!
