Thanks Teecee Hopefully tonight will go much better. Just waiting on tea cooking now then will have to go and spend some time with DH since it's his birthday. Mind you if he wants to watch the history channel all night I'll be straight back here lol.

    Hi Everyone,

Sorry been offline, manic week at work and home with Pa!!

Good day today I have had two more of the cccs offers accepted. I feel a bit more like light at the end of the tunnel.

Just wish the big ones would accept! What happens if they don't?

Also made first payment to cccs today!! Got my online password from them as well.

I just wondered how you all feel, when this situation of ours gets to critical it dominates your every waking moment and you can't sleep for worry. I have woken twice this week (from good drug induced sleep) without debt being the first thing to enter my head. but A, I feel guilty when I remember - WHY?? and B, Is that how we all get when dealing with this thing?

How do you guys who have been on DMP for a long time deal with it?

Sorry this is all a bit deep tonight.

How do I change my user name??

    Hi Neith

Im quite new to this as well. We are waiting to hear if our DMP has been accepted by our creditors (eight of them). Have not made any payments yet

I know what you mean about the sleepless nights. But I can honestly say since i have spoken to the CCCS and creditors (so far all have been helpful except MOrgan Stanley who talked us into a holding fee which i should have refused!!) I feel much better about things at least knowing im going to get some control back and actually be paying off the debt rather than just the interest.

Its tough but keep strong things will get better you are doing the right thing!!

Thanks lonely for comments as you see I had the same problem with morgan stanley but we buckled and paid up. MUST BE STRONGER IN THE FUTURE!!

hi everyone, have'nt managed to get on today.

Welcome to all the newbies you really are in the right place.

just an update, I called CCCs today to ask about my welcome pack. The lovely lady told me that it was on its way and I would be able to make my first payment at the begining of April. :j :T :j :T
So, from the first time I contacted CCCs to making my first payment, it will have only been 3 1/2 weeks I think thats really good. :T

neith - HSBC haven't accepted mine - and CCCS said not to worry - worst case they'll default me and send debt to DCA who will probably accept! Trying to be postive anyway..
Amani - that's great news! They are lovely on the phone, aren't they! I've only had men, but they are lovely too :)
Sorry, need my bed, I hope all are well - I can't catch up on all the posts nowadays! So many!

    Hi all!

Quick visit in after work, and yet again things more on magnificently.

    winkus and newlywed -

Sorry I'm a bit late in getting back to you!

After signing all my paperwork, it was about a week after I got sent a little pack with the giro slip in.

I was in a bit of a panic - my DMP was due to start in march, but due to pay being late, and no money they simply said they'd start it in April for me after I got paid.

So, got paid on the 23rd, sorted out the giro, and today it showed up on the online statement. My DMP officially starts on the 1st April, but they'll only start distributing the payments out on 25th.

Which seems okay. I got a letter from egg today (just one of those automated things more or less) - deferring payment on my loan with them until 28th April. It made no mention of CCCS, but I imagine that they've got all the proposals etc, so I'm not too worried!

Hope that helps a wee bit.

And we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Sorry for such a short 'hello', but I'm just really tired (finished work at 8:30 tonight!)

    See you all soon,

    Joe.

Just a quickie before I hit the sack!! HSBC are completely ignoring my dmp - see earlier post - so I think it must be a regular thing with them!! I know what you mean about the posts there are so many now - takes me an hour to catch up each day. Glad CCCS were positive amani it really does help and is very empowering.
