I never really went for Wagon wheels - too squishy for my liking, and not enough biscuit...But you're right, they did shrink 'em something rotten.

    And are Curly-wurlies still around?

    I do hope so.

    Evening everyone.

Well I paid my first CCCS instalment through the post office today. Still waiting for my password so I can check progress online.

I have found CCCS to be brilliant but seemed to have waited ages for anything from them via the post?? Anyone else found this?? Anyway its done now so no going back, only forwards :j

This thread is brilliant. DH knows that I head straight here as soon as I get in from work in the evening!!! He has been severly neglected because of this site!!!!

G'night Yellowmonkey, have a good one:)

Hi winkus - it didn't take me long to get the welcome pack from CCCS after the initial review, but it's only been two or three days ago since I received the password for online use, so I think you might have to be a wee bit patient on that front!

Anyway, very well done - it does get easier from now on!

  • Scottish, I took pet insurance with Petplan last week. I have 2 dogs so got £25 cashback on each. I was with Direct Line but having been told by them last week (when I enquired about a problem with my dog) that they have an 8week backlog on claims I decided to scarper. I have heard good things about their house and car ins though. I worked out today that our life and critical illness insurance cost less per month than the dogs. What is that about?

Joek, it is quite scary. The first time I looked on there and seen someone with your name talking all serious about mortgages, I was like !!!!!!? It was like you had deserted us all and became sensible. :rotfl:

    Charlie, welcome to the gang.

    :wave to everyone else.
  • Yes curly wurlys are still around. They aren't as nice now though. When you got one as a kid you thought you had the biggest bar ever. Now they are smaller and they are harder too. They used to be nice and chewy but now they are teeth wreckers. I had one today.

I am going to have to learn to type faster Joek. I believe you can still get them but only in these new retro sweet shops that have opened up down our way. You can get all the sweets of old and I think they are still called Marathons and not 'Snickers' in these shops.

  • Haven't seen Scared, Bluediamond or Gemmzie on here lately. I'm sure there are others too. Hope all is ok.
  • Couple of freebies for you all to signup for. There are 5000 up for grabs in both instances. I get freebies. If they are of use to me I use them or I ebay them or give to the school for their sales etc.
