    Hi everyone

Its taken me ages to read all of the posts and just want to say thanks to everyone for making me feel much better about our financial situation.
We have just sent off all our info to CCCS for the DMP (i wish id have known about this site earlier might have taken the plunge before).

So far the creditors we have spoken to have all been brilliant some Next and Barclaycard have allready frozen interest. The only one we havent yet spoken to is Lloyds TSB who we have an overdraft with (not looking forward to that) we have opened another bank account at least!!

So we are just waiting now its a worrying time but feel better for knowing that we are making a positive step at least.

Its nice to know can speak to other people about this as we have told nobody else except one close friend (and i felt a failure telling her!!)

    Thanks yellowmonkey and sea

It really is reassuring to be here :j thanks for being so welcoming.

Has anyone experience of how long does it normally take once the DMP forms have been sent back to the CCCS and the notification of debt management plans to the creditors? I spoke to someone from the CCCS last week and they said if I get the forms in post I could start first payment in April i just hope it all can be set up by then.

    Hi everyone :D

Welcome Hopeful glad to have you with us, I'm sure you will find this thread helpful as most here are just slighlty further along the DMP route than you are, and already faced and dealt with most things that may come your way.

Good Luck and don't forget to call on us if you need advice, a chat or even some fun!!
I know how scary it is when you are just starting on your path to being debt free but stay strong and try not to let it get you down too much,
It takes time but you will get there in the end.;)

lonely - I'm studying for an NVQ teaching assistant qualification.

Just got in from college and have had a really long tiring day, so gonna have an early night!

It's amazing but since finding this site and starting my dmp, I actually sleep soundly at night now.

Hope everyone has had a good day, and nothing too stressful.
