Fantastic news about the job amani, well done Mr A!!!!
Im not sure what to suggest regarding telling CCCS, If it was me i would propably wait until its almost his first payday, as i would think you will have to go through a new I+E forms. And your new payment would maybe able to be sorted before his first wages.
And you crediotrs are more likley to accept especially if you have more money to pay them.
    Well done again.

Got a call yesterday from a 5 year old girl in Black Horse finance...she said "you havent paid us since January, wot going on then"? Professional to the end eh..:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I said I was with CCCS and she said you should have contacted us first, we could have done all they do for nothing.....obviously up on dmp's and who does them....:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

and the best shot she fired....we may or may not accept your offer but may go for legal action instead! Worried me now!

MBNA want £20 a month more to save a default and selling my debt on with their final comment being..."YOU WILL NO LONGER BE A CUSTOMER OF MBNA"....there appears to be a God after all then?

hi kevster, very funny :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Hi Kevster...

Regarding CCCS - I'd call them and explain the situation. It's pretty much exactly what happened to me, and they just altered things so I could pay a month later (my first payment's 1st April, although I managed to pay yesterday! Go me!).

    Hi Everyone
It has taken me four evenings to read through all the posts on here, finally got to the end last night but was too late to start posting myself so thought I would wait until today. Log in and find there is another page already.

There is some great advice on here especially since most of you are quite new to this DMP lark. I've been on one since march 04. Ever since my DH told me we couldn't afford for me to take any maternity leave off once baby was born in August. Decided not to wait any longer and got in touch with CCCS. Best thing I have ever done (apart from marrying DH and having kids lol). Just as well we got things sorted out as I was then made redundant when I was discussing returning to work at the end of my mat leave.

So far have paid £5000 off our total debt. Not sure when Debt Free Date is. will try and work it out later. Our biggest problem at the moment is the way DH earns. He is a self-employed taxi driver so gets his cash every day. some days it is good, some days can be really poor, but unfortunately with having cash around all the time it just got frittered away. Now First Direct have helped us by saying they'll charge us £10 if £1500 doesn't go in every month. Now all the money gets paid in and we then take what we need out. Hopefully it will mean we will spend less on junk (as in food)
One thing we have found to help is as my DH is a technophobe and can only just switch the computer on never mind try and access the internet we have two small whiteboards next to the computer. One has all the Direct Debits due to go out and what dates. The other I keep a record of the balance, any money due to go in and any switch's or cheques due to go out. This helps DH know where we stand and whether he needs to move money around. We also have a Nationwide basic account which all our DD's come out of but it only has a cash card so we kept the First Direct one (We have no Debt to them).

This has become rather a long first post so will post it before it becomes an epic.

PS. Can I have a number?

Forgot to say congrats to Amani and her DH.

I also found that once debts were handed over to DCA's they were much easier to deal with.

  • :p :money: hi everyone please may i join the gang ? my dmp with cccs started this month. i was ok about everything until all this scary weird bailiff stuff is starting to come in. My cc's had accepted lower offers and left me alone but since the news started reported bailiff changes they have started hassling me again big time - its sooo depressing ! anyway aside from that hope you all have a lovely weekend x
