Welcome Scottishmummy and willclearthis to our humble abode :hello:
Thanks for telling us your stories. Scottishmummy - sounds like you could teach us all a few things, you are one of our more experienced DMPers, I still feel like an amateur! Glad to see there is another Scot in our club - even though I live on the wrong side of the border (only kidding English folks!) :rotfl:
wewillclearthis, sorry to hear you've been getting hassled. What do you mean by "big time". Hopefully it will be standard computer generated letters and phonecalls, but let us know either way. Well done in getting it all up and running :T
I'll add you to the new members post so that Kelly (thanks poppet!) can update the list. Looks like you'll be numbers 47 and 48. Kelly will confirm and then you can update your signatures :j

Its time to stop just reading this thread. Its becoming obsessive!!! I had my LB moment a few weeks ago and am starting my DMP with CCCS on 1st April. It all came to a head recently when I realised that more was going out than coming in. My wonderful CCCS counsellor is fab and he really put me at ease.
Our current debts are in the region of 16000 pounds. Biggest one is 10k to first direct which is a loan. Sadly we have our mortgage with them but I have spoken to them and so far touch wood they were very understanding about the DMP. Please cross your fingers for us that this continues!!!!
As I mentioned above I am obsessed with this thread. It keeps me strong and stops me worrying like mad:D
Sadly the debt has caused me to end up on antidepressants. I began them two weeks ago. Dont really feel any different at the moment. I suppose they will kick in soon.
Looking forward to joining you all now for some banter!!!

Welcome Winkus!!!! Loving your username!
Well done on getting everything sorted out. Sorry to hear you are on the ADPs. Don't feel alone about that though, I think a lot more common for people to be on them than most of us realise. They are likely to kick in very soon, just bear with it. Remember we are always here (well, a lot of the time anyway, we'll get your message eventually!) to chat to if you need us. We can usually always gaurantee a giggle. When one of us is feeling down, others are up, so the postivity rubs off. Well done for tackling everything head on :T
I'll add you to the Newbies needing a number list of Kelly (page 51 Kelly!).
By my calculations you should be number 49!

Hi everyone. Only just got in from work, so I've been missing all the fun...well something like that anway.
Some good(ish) news - had a letter from Barclaycard today, acknowledging the fact that I'm about to start a DMP with CCCS, and have suspended the account until April 17th whilst they await the proposal from CCCS.
Good inasmuch as they halted the interest, but a little bit puzzling because I thought CCCS would have sent them a letter with a proposal by now. Anyway, I scanned the letter in the old computer, and have sent CCCS it along with a quick note.
They've been great getting back to me (never more than a couple of days, and always with good info), so I don't have any complaints! And a months-worth of interest saved is a real plus at this moment in time.
So, fairly good day really!
And, you never know...by the end of tonight, I might even have got my two stars!
