    Hi again :hello:

Teecee - I'm always up for a challenge ;) Sorry to hear about the default notice. It's better to get them early I suppose. Means only 5 years and 364 days until it clears from your credit file :T (That was meant to be a postive thing, but sorry if it doesn't seem like it!).

Joek - glad to hear things are going well. I'm starting to wish I'd gone with CCCS now :o Oh well. Barclycard left me a voicemail asking me to call them today. I've not heard anything from them regarding freezing interest. DO you think I should be brave and give them a ring tomorrow?

I've spent the last hour or so taking photos of stuff to Ebay. I checked my budget spreadsheet and I'm going to have absolutely no money left this month to pay for my car repairs and service. Means I'll need to use all my "pot money" this month and next, i.e. hairdressing, insurance etc. I really hate not having a financial cushion for this kind of unexpected one-off costs.

Does anyone know if my car will go out of warranty if I don't get it services until 11,000 miles instead of 10,000? I guess I should call Toyota and check.

Sorry for sounding down in the dumps, today has been a bit rubbish. Will cheer up soon

smile - I reckon you should bite the bullet and give 'em a call really. At least it'll mean no more phonecalls for a while afterwards.

I had the same thing with my old Student Loans people - they phoned up, and I just knew that they keep on and on about it until I spoke to them.

And then they were absolutely fine (go figure!).

The great thing for you is that you've got Payplan to work with - inasmuch as you can give all your creditors your PP ref.

If they get arsey - tell them to speak to them! It might be fobbing them off, but it'll probably do the job!

Oh, and don't you worry about being a bit down - it happens to the best of us, and you've got nothing to apologise for - you're usually the life and soul of the thread!!!

Hi smilealot - sorry to hear you are down!!
Here have some hugs and chocolate:EasterBun :grouphug: :grouphug:

The funny thing is I wasn't even that bothered about the default!!!
Two months ago It would have sent me into meltdown. But now I know so much more than I did then, after speaking to people on here, it doesn't panic me anymore. I just read it and filed it!!!!:rolleyes2

Really think you should take the bull by the horns and ring Barclaycard.
They are my biggest creditor ( owe then over 12k) and when I rang I was scared stiff, but they were really nice and stopped interest and accepted dmp straight away!!

Ring the toyota garage too, so you can be sure about warranty!:D

Thanks Joek. I need to stop feeling sorry for myself. Things are fine really. Just fed up of worrying about money. I'm not even concerned about the long-term, although maybe I should be! It's the short-term bit, feeling the pinch so much, having to count out every penny. My closest friend is about to have her first child and I can't afford to buy the little one a present, and I'd like to say I'll make up for it in babysitting duties, but they live in Scotland  I'm only 25 and have absolutely NO money to have a social life! I guess it's my own fault, but 14 years feels like a long time to be staying in putting rubbish on Ebay and doing click throughs. My situation is even worse than good old Bridget Jones' :rotfl:

Sorry, I know we are all in the same boat. Glad I've got you guys, you understand what I'm whinging on about

On the upside, the naughty version of Question of Sport is coming on. Gorgeous sports men - whoever said the best things in life are free was so right (apart from the TV licence fee!) :T

Y'know what? I always reckoned the best things in life were coca-cola bottles for a penny...

I used to love it when my mum would give me 10p and I could get loads of lovely stuff (half-penny chews too!).

So, the best things in life for aren't free, but they're bloody cheap!

Hmm...I could murder a finger of fudge....
