He cannot walk any distance without pain and severe discomfort and this is why he get the mobility part of DLA. His condition has no cure and has steadily got worse since he was diagnosed at 19 he is now 31 and been getting DLA for past 4yrs.

I am going to see if I can find a solicitor in our area that has had experience of this, He will not get legal aid but, he needs to have help with this no matter what.

I would first approach a disabilty charity who could advise you. Few lawyers have this kind of experience but there are many good legal advisors working in the charity sector. Whatsmore, you don't want some local charlaton (spelling??) getting involved and charging you a fortune.

Why don't you pick up the phone and call Disability Alliance or such, this afternoon. Speak to them and you'll get some advice and feel better for it. If they can't help you they'll put you in touch with those that can - they're very helpful and there for you.

I don't understand what your son's condition is - I could google it but... any Disability Charity will help you and point you in the right direction.

Or google yourself, ...Your sons condition in Latin or whatever, ie comma, dla / benefits advice, help!!!!

Or wait for more advice to come along on the forum..... you will get it xxx

    Also try community legal aid.

Even if your son is not entitled to legal aid they will be able to put you in touch with someone who can help.

Not sure if they can help, but try Arthritis Care (.org.uk).

They helped me turn my life around after I was diagnosed with a very severe form of arthritis. They cover all kinds of arthritis and have a forum there to help sufferers (this was my lifeline at one point). They might be able to help.

    Good luck xxxx
