Received my Argos voucher 2 weeks ago for a Binatone Carrera, just in time for my holiday to Norfolk. What can I say, it is awful, and that's putting it mildly. I think TATNAV would be a better description. Thankfully I had my Lobster mobile with Route 66 installed as a back-up or I'm sure I'd still be wandering aimlessly around Norfolk's B roads. Even simple journeys around my home town are full of misdirections. The unit itself looks good, but the software lets it down, so I can only give it 2 out of 10.

Mine is fine - gives you as accurate directions as any Sat Nav. Has even shown me shortcuts I didn't know of.

You can install TomTom software on it if you find it 'so' bad.

What do you want for free!!? If you want a better Sat Nav, you should have paid for one.

It's not as if you paid £100 for this and found you didn't like it. You paid £6 and for £6 its a bloody good Sat Nav!

I just don't get people who moan about something that was free (or almost free)!

It was free - because I got my £6 refunded when I cancelled the DD.

How did you get it refunded - I thought if the DD had been paid, that was the money gone?

Can't find link, but there are news articles on web about Abbey and Axa teaming up.

Also similiar deal through Post Office - £50 cashback as well as a digi box, digital camera or wine. But cashback only after 3 payments of £7

  • Hi,

even if you have to pay twice (£12?), you are still getting a bargain.

If you cancel the plan you should get your money back. I wrote and cancelled and they refunded my account.
