Anyone managed to run TomTom on the Binatone sat nav box ?

I have got other satnav s/w working on it using an SD card but can't figure out how to get Tomtom on it.

I had igo running on it, it is a bit slow to load up but ok once it loads up.

I also put mapmyindia on it (satnav s/w for use in india) works fine and is fast.

Exactly - cancel DD then ring or write. Probably cheaper to ring.
I've just checked saynoto0870 and got 02476 235550 as a contact number but it's only an 0845 number anyway.

only an 0845 number? It's still 4p per minute!

2p per minute from a BT line daytime and 0.5p per minute evenings, others will cost more, but better using the geo if it is there!

I think my call only lasted about 40 seconds!
But you could be on hold for a while if you're unlucky :D

How??? Please give us a bit of guidance!

I'm quite happy with the unit as it is for this country, but it would be good to be able to get at least W Europe on it.

I haven't tried this offer but about two years ago I contacted them on behalf of my mum to request details of the policy. My mum didn't like the details and decided not to join and we told them so after rexeiving numerous follow-up letters from them. Eventually I got fed up and rang them up again to say we will not be taking up the policy and request that they please take us off their mailing list. The call centre staff told us it would take about a month to effect this. I let them know I'd like us taken off their mailing list immediately as there's no way it should take that long. He insisted that it would. Two months later we were still receiving unsolicited marketing mail from them on an almost weekly basis. In fact two years later I still receive mail from them at least once monthly. i just return to sender. Luckily we've moved house now but because of my redirections i notice they are STILL spamming us. The redirection ends soon so I'm not bothered anymore.

So to sum up, to all of you who have signed up and then cancelled, I'm afraid this might not be the last you hear of them...
The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.
  • Satnav came for my mum; better than I was expecting. Not as many options as the tomtom range, but overall seems great. Thanks OP!!
