Take it back tell them it keeps losing the signal. If they ask if you want a replacement say no as you would prefer to get a more expensive unit...but you do not have any money with you today. They will refund you with a voucher.

    Thanks. I will try that.

Other than cancelling the DD is there anything else needed to be done to cancel this policy?

Cancelling a direct debit is only cancelling the payment.
You will not have cancelled your plan so you should cancel the plan with the provider.

In this case it looks like they do not pursue it but in general they could pursue you for payments and they have a contract and you haven't paid.
For the sake of 5 mins, I'd do it properly.

I have also joined this boat to get a satellite navigation system. My first payment day will be in the first week of July. Hopefully I will get me Sat Navigation system by the end of July.

Then what should I do? Cancel the Direct Debit first and write a letter to request to cancel my policy?

    Thanks in advance for guidance.

Exactly - cancel DD then ring or write. Probably cheaper to ring.
I've just checked saynoto0870 and got 02476 235550 as a contact number but it's only an 0845 number anyway.

    Terms and Conditions
    Your Policy
The enclosed Policy Schedule and these Terms and Conditions form a legally binding contract between the policyholder and AXA Sun Life pic. This provides the policyholder with life assurance providing the premiums shown in your Policy Schedule are paid. In the event of a valid claim, we will pay out the amount shown in the Policy Schedule.

From the date of death to when the payment is made we will add interest to the cash sum paid out. The rate of interest used to calculate this amount will typically be around 0.5% per annum lower than the Bank of England Base Rate.

To make a claim in the event of death, we will need:

The Policy Schedule and Endorsements to be returned
The name of the person making the claim and evidence of their entitlement to the policy proceeds,
    e.g. probate
The name and date of birth of the policyholder
    The original death certificate
A copy of the policyholder's Will if there is one.

If these documents are not available, the person making the claim should contact our policy helpline on 0845 7322 223.

    Days of grace
After the first premium has been paid, if any subsequent premiums are not paid on the due date, we will allow ten days of grace during which time you can pay the outstanding premium and the policy will remain in force.

If the outstanding premium is not received within the days of grace, the policy will then be cancelled and you will not get anything back.

    Governing Law
AXA Sun Life proposes that this policy be subject to the law of England and Wales and, by entering into it, you agree that the law of England and Wales applies. This policy and any subsequent correspondence will be in English.

Looks like you do not need to do anything except cancel the DD, they will do the rest, although it can only be courtesy to inform them that you are stopping the DD.
