That's OK, sorry I was a bit blunt about it, it's just that people sounded alarmed so I thought I'd clear it up.

May I salute you for the wonderful work you do on this thread. :T

    Morning all!

We had to count our pots early because next weekend we get the keys to our very own house!!! I'm so excited! We went to see it for the second time yesterday and its bigger than i remembered which is good, but in worse condition which is not so good! We need the money to rig up a temporary kitchen and a shower over the bath before we can move in. We will have to live there while we do it up to save money - eek!

We counted it up then took it to the coin machine in HSBC and were surprised when it came to exactly £260! What are the chances of that? Anyway that gives a total of £320!

I'm off now to update my sig :) and check the floodwater has gone down a bit!:(

Thanks so much, peaceandfreedom, I really appreciate it, but in truth I thoroughly enjoy doing it, the pleasure everyone gets is as fantastic for me as saving my own. :D Aside from that, our sparky does all the counting up of Totals so we then get a Grand Total, so that's a huge bonus! Off in a while to get No 6 all ready.

Don't fret anymore about dipping in, mommyof4, it came in useful when it was needed, that's all that matters. No, it's not you that's sad having bought a new pot, we all see things in different ways and if starting afresh with a new pot gives you a real buzz then, like as not, it'll also help you save quicker. Worry about YOU, no one else! BTW, even though you've taken cash out - be sure to still include that with what's left.....it's still your savings so get as excited about it ALL as you wish. :grinheart

Good for you, Kerry...still a little longer to go! :)

Last minute change, Callie?? You've still got til Wednesday yet.

You're really getting the hang of it, getting-there-slowly, well saved! :D

Janey that's brilliant news!!! :T I'm so very happy for you both! Don't worry about the makeshift measures needed as it makes it an even greater pleasure when you complete it....then stand together arms round each other and admire it all - a proper 'we did that together' moment.

Congratulations on £320 saved!!!! :T Who'd have thought a straight £260! I know it'll be mighty busy here next week so, if I forget - enjoy moving in to the house of your dreams, I reckon you've really deserved it. :grinheart

Poor you, jakes-mum, hope you're soon feeling well and away from your self pity party. ;) You sure it's not excitement? Our lass gets bad stomachs, bad heads and goodness knows what when she's excited.

Oh well done, ETO!! If it's easier for you, then why not count it on Wednesday, no doubt you won't be the only one. ;)

£10 in the pot - and - 6p roadkill!!!! :j Haven't had any roadkill for ages then DH finds 5p outside paper shop and 1p further down the road! To think he used to scowl at me when I picked money up...hahaha....I taught him all he knows :rotfl:
