I just had to pop in and share my horrendous morning with you all.....it started when we popped into town to pay some bills. The first pay & display machine on the car park wasn't working so I found number 3 machine which ate my money but NO TICKET came out  so I had to find yet another machine and pay again. Another £1.30 but I didn't dare risk getting a fine. We toddled off to the cash machine inside Barc*ays so that I could draw £250 to pay a bill. The money came out alright but I must have been a bit slow putting my bank card back into my purse or something because the machine sucked back my money  and I was left empty handed!:eek: I dashed to the counter whilst OH waited expectantly by the machine in case it spewed it out again but to no avail. I have to wait at least 48 hours and up to 21 days before I get my money back!! I can't believe it  what a nightmare. OH blames me for being slow but there was nothing stopping him from taking it out 'cos I had to give it to him anyway....grrrr

Anyway, we gave up and came home. I think I need a stiff brandy now :)

I have just 42p in my purse so I might as well pot it now...

Hope everyone else is having a much better day :)

Aw little_sweetie that's really not fair, I had no idea they did that either! I suppose like you say at least you know it's in your bank but still...

Oops hope things sort themselves out soon, like the others have said it's good you had your pot to help out but sending you <HUGS> anyway - better late than never

Samtoby there you are! Missed you, glad you're still with us :)

A lovely 3 x £2 coins last night and some small change :)
    A week to go!

Oh little sweetie, I'm so very sorry to hear about the bank nabbing your cash back, but as Ruth says, at least you know that it's safely in the bank! It is isn't it? I could say more, but I'll remain tactful. ;) BTW, next time you're in town grab a CP attendant and let him know about the machine, our lass got her's back.

I've got to agree with you, LC 2, I won't use hole's in the wall either, I'd be scared silly that someone would grab it from me - or that some thieving [STRIKE]swine[/STRIKE] person had a mirror inside to take all my details.

I thought it was supposed to be * many more sleeps, Ruth, but why not get-ups :D, though.....trust you to be different, it must be an age thing - and I shall be feeling mine from next Thursday onward for a while, sparky too.:eek:

Hellooo there, Sam!! It's good to see you back, you haven't been out on that boat all this time surely?!

What some weather! It's been blowing a gale since the early hours, frightening too when looking out at all the trees.

7p in the pot, not a lot, but it might just make up another £1. :grinheart

Don't forget your bags, everyone, and please DON'T use coinstar to change your cash! They take about 8% of YOUR MONEY!!!!
Do please keep very safe everyone!

Keep saving well........only 6 more saving days to go!

  • Just popping in as I've not been about much of this year.

Sue - Is there another thread for 2013 yet?

Haven't saved 'that' much in my pot despite adding to it every day but I'm fairly pleased with what is in there so far...might have to roll it over to next year but will see how it goes.

As it's nearing time to crack open the pot I have been feeling slightly sad about it.... so I went to buy a new tin as a replacement... and bought exactly the same one! how silly am I being sentimental about a money pot!!
Excited to find out how much I can spend now on my wedding dress!! :D
