I know I haven't posted much but am really excited for the grand openings :D

As I have never done this challenge before I have no idea how much money is in my piggy bank so am really excited to find out :D:D:D

Good to hear your so excited, suze, I'm sure you'll be thrilled with however much you get, and you might not have saved at all otherwise!

Hi sparky, really pleased you had a wonderful time in Telford. Have you put ALL Totals so far on the SS????
Sue - I am definitely cherishing the excitement, we made the announcement to a lot of our friends over the weekend so has made it a bit more real.

Hope everyone is well and excited for pot opening day. :j

Brilliant news for you both, ETO, it's all so well on the way now then. :j I first noticed little flutterings and presumed they were kicks, but as you say, the second time is so much different.

Have a good week all :D

Gotchya Rosy!! I knew the other day I'd forgotten to wish someone's DD a Happy 21st, but forgot in the end. Haven't found it since, but here you are! :D I hope she had a super Birthday and celebrated it in style. Belated Birthday greetings for her. Always wanted to to St Paul's Cathedral...one day!

Good luck on getting enough for your car tax, blindtoast, whatever it is - it's savings!!!! :j

I've been doing this since the start of the year (poundland tin money box already sealed) and came across this thread by accident. I only put 20p and upwards in my tin and it weighs a ton. Great thread, I have all Christmas presents covered this year and food probably as well. All without really missing the money.

So, did you want to join us, freeoffers? You'll be very welcome - any time.

Well done on another £100 saved, Suzanne!!!

Well done, nu1isit?, battle away and you'll soon have it done and sparkling.

Another £8.50 safely in the pot.

Have a great day, everyone, keep dry, safe, healthy and keep saving well........just 8 saving days to go!

Afternoon all- hope everyone is well.

Have been having a bit of a change drought of late- oh well, we'll see what's in the pot next week.

My Christmas preparations leave a bit to be desired compared to you organised folk. I have made the mincemeat though (I have been assigned the task of making the mince pies this year (as my sis and I are grown-ups (ha!) now, we're helping Mum out with the festive baking) :)).

  • I can't feel any kicking but they often say you don't this early with the first as you don't recognise it, whereas with future pregnancies you know what you're looking for.

How far along is your daughter?

    Hi,

She is almost 9 weeks, but her doc has just told her she is to stop working immediately as she teaches English in a pre-school in Germany. They tested her blood for immunity against children's diseases and apparently she is at risk. She can go back and work once she is 20 weeks and medical aid will cover her salary in the meantime. I have no idea how she will cope as she is an energy ball :D!!

The kicking will start soon. First flutters, the gentle kicks and then blasts in all directions! Enjoy your pregnancy, I loved all 3 of mine.:j

I had some cash today and have therefore potted £2.10. All will be revealed in 9 days !!

    Evening all :D...

We're going to stick in a stunningly tempting twenty pence tonight :D, ooooo I hear you say :p :rotfl: :p. I did have another coat on the table, but a certain little person come back, through the door (while I was cleaning brushes in the other room), and put her stuff on...that's right...the freshly painted table ... She was cleansed of all paint. So guess what I'll be doing later again :rotfl:  :rotfl:.

Hope you've all had a good one potting :j  :j.

    Hello everyone,
Sorry I've been missing for such a long time.:)
I have a confession to make - I've had emergency repairs done to the house and I had to open the pot for some funds towards it.:(:( I've also had to sell my shares, close my ISAs and other savings accounts, sell a ton of stuff on ebay and managed to scrape together about half of what I needed. So - I'm back in debt as I had to take out a loan, too.:(:(
Still, on the bright side, I've been here before. I got out of debt once, I can do it again.:)
I haven't read all the posts but I'm glad you're all still saving and can't wait to see the total.
By the way, Sparky, I had £473.60 in my pot when I opened it. Does it still count?

    Oops x
