    Hello everyone,
Sorry I've been missing for such a long time.:)
I have a confession to make - I've had emergency repairs done to the house and I had to open the pot for some funds towards it.:(:( I've also had to sell my shares, close my ISAs and other savings accounts, sell a ton of stuff on ebay and managed to scrape together about half of what I needed. So - I'm back in debt as I had to take out a loan, too.:(:(
Still, on the bright side, I've been here before. I got out of debt once, I can do it again.:)
I haven't read all the posts but I'm glad you're all still saving and can't wait to see the total.
By the way, Sparky, I had £473.60 in my pot when I opened it. Does it still count?

    Oops x

    Hi Oops

I'm sure it will count. It was great you had the money in the pot to help you out

At least you know what to do this time ;)

    Hi Everyone
have enjoyed spending some of my pot money on treating me and my mum to tickets for michael buble in july:j, without the pot would not have had the spare money to buy them. Also treated myself to a new outfit for works christmas night out.
Have been and brought 3 pots and sealed them and covered with paper ready for challenge 6, one for bronze, silver and £1 &£2 coins.
Looking forward to seeing all your totals next week.

Hi there, Oops, I really am so very sorry you've been so badly hit to need emergency repairs and now to go back into debt! My word, what a blow, BUT at least you had some cash to go towards it.

What you saved is still so important though, so yes of course all £473.60 WILL be counted, no worries about that!!!!! :T You'll soon be back in the black, Oops. :D

Well done your DD's Dr, Susanne! He was soon on the ball in realising that, with kiddies around, your DD was at risk. Still, better to be safe etc and I bet she has plenty to look ahead to in the meanwhile. :)

  • I just had to pop in and share my horrendous morning with you all.....it started when we popped into town to pay some bills. The first pay & display machine on the car park wasn't working so I found number 3 machine which ate my money but NO TICKET came out  so I had to find yet another machine and pay again. Another £1.30 but I didn't dare risk getting a fine. We toddled off to the cash machine inside Barc*ays so that I could draw £250 to pay a bill. The money came out alright but I must have been a bit slow putting my bank card back into my purse or something because the machine sucked back my money  and I was left empty handed!:eek: I dashed to the counter whilst OH waited expectantly by the machine in case it spewed it out again but to no avail. I have to wait at least 48 hours and up to 21 days before I get my money back!! I can't believe it  what a nightmare. OH blames me for being slow but there was nothing stopping him from taking it out 'cos I had to give it to him anyway....grrrr

Anyway, we gave up and came home. I think I need a stiff brandy now :)

I have just 42p in my purse so I might as well pot it now...

Hope everyone else is having a much better day :)
