Yes I am an awkward so and so Sue!! It is so expensive in Switzerland (although salaries are higher to compensate) we are fortunate to be able to go to Germany or France for shopping (just 10 minutes in the car from where I am).
Germany is cheaper and I go to Lid* where the quality is excellent for bread and F&V.
We also get our VAT back as we're taking stuff out of the EUropean Union, and that goes straight in my pot!!!Trying to keep in budget.

Morning all,
What a beautiful day - the sun is shining. Just came back from the carboot sale and could have slept in as it is now closed until the spring. Never mind! The change I had for the sale amounted to £18 which went straight into the pot. I can accumulate more change in the months before spring.
No peace for the wicked. Have to edit my daughter's assignment which she has to submit today. Guess what she is doing? Fast asleep!

Do you still like your new(ish) job?
Job is alright. Been there for 2 months now.
Have banked £400. Some of the money is what I managed to save over the summer, whilst doing some voluntary work for about 3 weeks. Had fares and food paid for. Also some of that was other money I have managed to save recently. Signature updated.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20130 -
