  • 2.40 potted yesterday, change from shopping. I save my spare £1 coins for my tesco club card Xmas savers. Managed to get back £222 in vouchers this year. I've done the Xmas savers for a few years, much
safer for me than putting I in the bank where I get tempted to spend

    Hi everyone, :hello:
I feel some new recruits joining you! I have bought my kids a pot of dreams each for Christmas to encourage an active savings habit! Reading my MSE email for the week I spotted many of you with £2 savers club or SPC signatures and wondered what they were. Explored the site, read the blogs and searched the cupboards for a pot...
...please can I sign up for the Sealed Pot Challenge 6 - 2013?

I would love to join you and save (possibly towards a family holiday for my 50th in 2016. Hmmm - what could be achieved in four years)?

What better way to encourage the kids to save for something in the longer term if Mum and Dad do it too! Fantastic - I feel a family challenge coming on!

Looking forward to receiving my SPC number xx

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it helps so very much.

Good for you in getting such great gifts for your kiddies, 50thfun, start them off young and they'll stick with it for life - even more so if they see you both doing the same! A great idea. There's no age limit here so, if they too want to join the challenge, let them do so!

I can see there's going to be either great fun.....or trouble in your house, as if anyone finds a coin in the house or street, you're ALL going to be squabbling over who picks it up and who's pot it goes in! :j Enjoy it! I shall be giving your house a thought on Christmas Day for sure! :D BTW you can start saving straight away.

Thanks for that, Funnyonion, it's nice to know what folk do...apart from that...I'm [STRIKE]nosy[/STRIKE] interested :grinheart At least that way I guess you more or less know how much you've saved so you know you've enough for Christmas.

Hiya jakes-mum! It would be no good you all having pots of your own - you'd be fighting hubby and, Jake & Lily for every single penny!!!!! :rotfl:Still, you were safe this time as whoever put it on the shelf obviously forgot it.
Have a good Wednesday, all, and save well where possible.
    Sue x
Anyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's never too late. There may be a lot of us, but don't feel intimidated, we're a lovely lot, so come on in.:grinheart
Please read the 1st post on Page 1 first so you know what's what.

Thank you so much Sue and KerryWoman, I am very excited. My DD has been married for 6 years and I was on the verge of sending them a power point presentation with instructions ...:D:D:D:D:D! Seems they have figured it out themselves :T What a relief :) And the perks that go with it - more champagne for me at Christmas :D

Another £0.40 youngest DD bedroom kill. She is probably wondering why I have stopped moaning about her untidy room
