A very warm welcome, Funnyonion, it's lovely to have you with us. biggrin.gif Enjoy yourself saving. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 4 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

A very good morning to all. Up early, partly as I've been sneezing madly and partly due to the election over the pond.

I know I've already wished you a lovely holiday, LC 2, and even though you're in Warsaw now and not reading this - have a really lovely time!
I am due in May, have just hit the 12 week point, i have known for 8 weeks, we tested the day hubby went to Afghan, so it has been killing me keeping it to myself but also the anxiety of getting to this point. Have been feeling really rubbish in the evenings too.

I am def going to join in with next year's challenge just not sure whether i will need to dip in to top up maternity pay at some point, will see what happens.

So sorry to hear your DH is in Afghan, ETO, look forward to him coming home and you both looking forward to the little one's arrival. In fact you have so much to get excited about now, though right now you're being affected by all those hormones, it'll pass. It's understandable that you might need some of next year's cash for junior, but that's ok after all - there's nowt quite like a little one to buy for!! :j

Helloo there, blindtoast, good to see you've been saving well. Not long to wait now!

Lucky you with your carpark £1, Ruth!!

Another Downton Abbey fan here, little_sweetie and Ruth. I've got to admit to having loved this series, each and every episode is brilliant. Even hubby loves it!! :j
Have a good Wednesday, all, and save well where possible.

  • THANKYOU all for your lovely welcome :)

My pots going to be home for anything apart from 2ps, 1ps and £1 coins. I've already caught hubby peaking thru the crack in the top. need to keep it out of his reach. He's a change hoarder for car parking and the gym! Not stealing mine anymore ;)
  • I am so looking forward to opening my tin and seeing how much I have managed to save. Not sure I will make my target but it will all help towards Christmas. I already have my tin ready for the next challenge :)

Hi Funnyonion and thanks so much for popping your No on. Keep a careful eye on your hubby and hide the pot if you have to! You're not saving £1 coins???? Ahh go on, be a devil....or perhaps you can't afford to. Whatever the reason -look forward to this time next year, you'll be thrilled to bits! :j

Good to see you back, **tracey**!! You sound so terribly excited - and why not! :D Please don't worry too much if you haven't reached your target, you've proved to yourself that you can save..and save well, that's the most important thing. However, you might just surprise yourself, but just be happy with all you've saved.

£3.21 in the pot for DH & I and I'm very happy about that as I didn't think I'd be able to save anything this week.
Enjoy the evening, all, and have a good day tomorrow. Bloomin cold out there!

  • It's my birthday today and I have had a super day. Lots of lovely cards and a couple of glasses of wine at the village pub tonight. What more can a (fairly elderly!) woman ask for :T As a consequence of the wine I have only a few pence to pot but I am going Christmas shopping with DD tomorrow. I sold some scrap gold last weekend for £138 so should have enough to buy some pressies and, hopefully, a bit over :D Watch this space!

    Night night everyone x

Happy belated birthday. Hope you had a load of fun. Had £0.90 DD bedroom kill - finder's keepers!!

    All the best
