    Hi all,

Managed to pot £2.65 this weekend and also managed to NOT shop. Had to work all day Saturday and Sunday, so I left DH and DD to it. Guess what? They are both still alive, well and kicking and my bank account looks healthier than it usually does after a weekend!

DH's birthday today, so I am talking him out for dinner. I told him I was thinking of trading him in for a newer model. Mr Grumpy did not take that too well! Gosh, the man has no sense of humor but a full belly this evening is a surefire way to change his energy.

Have a super day everyone and keep potting. 29 November 2012 is looming large.

Well my 'potting' was going well, I decided to put every £2 coin I got in change into a fairly smallish tub. I'd nearly half filled it. There was easily £150+ in there.

Got home on Saturday afternoon to find the missus had opened the tub and gone shopping with it, leaving me with nothing! She'd opened my sealed pot cos she couldn't find her bank cards (which I later found in under 2 mins of searching)!!

So I'm starting from scratch, nevermind!! :o

May i suggest you keep this new pot well hidden and attempt to claim the pennies back from the missus!

I have potted £7.60 so far this month. Going away friday so if i don't spend all my money i will pot so i have to the nearest £50 left on my return.

I may not be around much but i am reading all your posts. I cant wait for November :)

Have had a good weekend so lovely to have nice weather.Went to the garden center yesterday with DIL and GC's they have a brilliant children's area there so sat there in the sun drinking tea and watching the kiddies play a really nice relaxing time.

Been shopping with DH he wanted a new coat. He has plenty but apparently he needed a new one . Saw a really nice one reasonable price exactly what he said he wanted what does he say "Look it got writing on the sleeve" " Yes but it's hardly visible" " Well I'm not a kid I don't want writing on it" So we are still looking!! What is amazing is that he was wearing his favorite football coat which he wears all the time complete with logo's and badge. I don't really see the difference Oh well he is a man!!!

    Potted a whole £20 :j

  • Men are wonderful, aren't they LC2 and they say women are picky :)

On a different subject, I did the food shop this morning and OH fancied hot chicken sarnies for lunch (as it's turned colder) so I bought a hot roast chicken from Mr M's thinking we could have some this evening too with some nice veggies. Well....the blessed government have decided to add 20% VAT to the price  This has added 80p to the cost! I am fuming! They have reduced the top rate of tax to big earners and are trying to recover it from us now! Grrr...I still had to buy said chicken 'cos I'd promised (and it's really tasty too :)) but I have signed the online petition to get this decision reversed and I urge you all to do it too. After all, it's healthy food :A

This means that I have only pennies to pot this week :(

Have a lovely evening everyone x

Hide the pot :D!! That's what I do as I was worried 'people' would start pilfering from it when they were skint :rotfl:!

Another 3p to add to the pot which some kindly soul :rotfl: had left in the automated supermarket till I used - "till kill?"

£2 Coin in the pot tonight :D Had a squint in the top through the rather large hole (as I was a bit over zealous with the scissors when I made it :o) and there is well over £10 in there already :D:D still got the horrible thunky sound though :(

    Hi Everyone,

Not really managed to pot anything over the past week as both my niece and godson turn one two days apart in two weeks time so used the money for them.
Had been saying to my sister and mum last week how so near to filling pot up but not getting any coins spare so for my birthday on saturday they gave me £30 in £2 coins for my pot, needless to say was very happy :j
I have weighted pot as wondered how heavy it is and its 5kg, but not sure how much works out as.Really looking forward to pot opening day as added bonus have that week off work.
