Morning all, £2.10 potted yesterday - I 'bought' the £2 from my OH, liberated 5p from his wallet and found another one in mine, no idea where it came from!

Good news on the house front - previous owners built both extensions since 1969 so definitely not early enough for the dodgy concrete! However if they didn't get planning and can't prove the date we will have to pay for the test anyway  thank goodness for the overdraft!

    Bought our house 2012 :) Married 2015 :D Started renovating 2015
Renovation fund... what renovation fund? Emergency fund 40% Future fund... ongoing...

Hope it turns out OK for you :) I hadn't heard of a Muntic test before you mentioned it so I looked it up - scary stuff! You lucky thing though living in Cornwall :)

Well my 'potting' was going well, I decided to put every £2 coin I got in change into a fairly smallish tub. I'd nearly half filled it. There was easily £150+ in there.

Got home on Saturday afternoon to find the missus had opened the tub and gone shopping with it, leaving me with nothing! She'd opened my sealed pot cos she couldn't find her bank cards (which I later found in under 2 mins of searching)!!

So I'm starting from scratch, nevermind!! :o

    "I can't find my cards..." - a likely story! ;)

Maybe you can hide it next time...

  • Been shopping with DH he wanted a new coat. He has plenty but apparently he needed a new one . Saw a really nice one reasonable price exactly what he said he wanted what does he say "Look it got writing on the sleeve" " Yes but it's hardly visible" " Well I'm not a kid I don't want writing on it" So we are still looking!! What is amazing is that he was wearing his favorite football coat which he wears all the time complete with logo's and badge. I don't really see the difference Oh well he is a man!!!

    Potted a whole £20 :j

Unpick the writing - he'll never know! My young DD was crazy about Allstars when she was little so her sisters and I bought a cheap pair of trainers and painted some really cool stars on it. The kid was over the moon! At that age they wear them for a couple of months and then they need a new size anyway. When she was older we told her about it and she could not stop laughing. We still joke about it.

Hi all, I opened my 2nd sealed pot earlier this week, (Been saving for spends for a special holiday for our 40th wedding anniversary) £200 banked. That's £600 altogether!
Going to start a new pot when we get back from the Dominican Republic--told you it would be a special holiday.
We keep saying it's our holiday of a lifetime for putting up with each other for a lifetime!
