little_sweetie when I bought my first house I was the same, everything in it was hand-me-downs (except the kitten my Mum gave me :rotfl:) but it was soo good to have my own place :)
Now thanks to an inheritance I'm about to pay off my mortgage and that feels brilliant!
Oh, and on thread - potted £3.01 last night :)
    Rx

Oh rosy excellent news about paying off the mortgage :T You're quite right it does feel good. We managed to pay ours off a few years ago in the nick of time just as DH was made redundant   I keep hoping for a decent lottery win to pay off DD's too :)

Just potted a few coppers change from a girlie night out last night. It all helps...

    Morning everyone
DW had a lovely £2 coin in her purse, so I liberated it for her and put it into the Chicage & New York 2013 spending fund! My daily £2 waiting to go in when I get home in the morning.

I'll be in bed when you're all getting up to head to work, so wrap up well, stay safe & keep saving

I've added a few small ones to my work tin - seems to have been slim pickings lately, which is ashame but am still potting what I can as well as preparing to move house again - currently unsure as to if I'll be moving in the same area or back up north but am sure I'll work it out before I become homeless the first weekend in December!

Friend gave me some money for petrol (I've given her a few lifts) so that's going in the pot. It's starting to feel heavy which is encouraging :T
