  • Just one UU:
TBS Spiced Vanilla Body Butter wmba I'm not the greatest fan of vanilla scents but the "spice" in it, made it really nice to use on cold days.

    One TA:
James Brown Styling Balm wnba somehow lost the lid to this and it had gone all gunky. I used to use it when my hair was short.

I wouldn't be able to do it safely !

I can't either, tried but its very tough plastic, will sit it on the radiator and see if it shifts with some warmth.
Hope everyone has a lovely Easter, and some time off. :D

A little Non Bought In - St Ives Scrub - 'Invigorating' - 30ml plus £1 MOC. Normally I just use Dove soap in addition to some light facial brushing to get my face clean, so this should be interesting. I've not used anything else for donkey's years and for a very good reason.

This sounds horribly bigheaded and I'm sorry, but it's true - my skin used to be truly flawless (I considered this my compensation for legs like tree trunks and bushy eyebrows) but in the last couple of years a few tiny red rosacea type marks have appeared plus some more fine lines. C'est la vie. Literally. I'm 54 next month, I figure I did well.

I was always reluctant to try anything new on my face when my skin was without blemishes in case something happened.
Now I think I'll give facial scrubs a go.
I've used one in the long ago past, but I seem to remember overdoing it and making my face slightly sore. (Typical....)

    Hi All,

Help please! I've clearly been a bit over zealous in trying to get some UU and used a facial scrub too often, maybe daily, I think which has made my skin react and become bumpy, red and itchy the last few days. I've variously tried lashings of Sudocrem before bed (not a good look to say the least ), cream cleanser, antihistamines, sensitive moisturiser and laying off foaming cleanser, face wipes or scrubs of course without too much success - I guess I'm going to have to sit it out but has anyone any other suggestions that might help my face recover quicker please?! Its quite noticeable on my cheeks and my jawline is itchy as can be.

A GA to report whilst I'm on - Asquith & Somerset body lotion, I tried to UU this up as only a small bottle in any case but smells very similar to love hearts which is just too sickly sweet for me, not terribly moisturising either - WNBA - will give to Mum and she can either use, car boot or TA.

With regards to bottles which are too tough to cut open with scissors, I had this problem a while back with a giant bottle of Veet which I knew there was a lot left in but wouldn't come through the pump anymore and plastic bottle way too thick to squeeze, cream too thick to pour out etc. My solution was to saw it in half with a bread knife, however if you try this approach please be very careful, I don't want any missing fingers on my conscious! :rotfl: Was loads left and did the whole of Mr Ems back, the hairy article :D

Looking forward to a lovely long weekend, visiting my sister's in Southport and will probably also make a trip to Reddish where my OH is originally from - no doubt may have some IN as a result of some shopping along the way but will try and keep them to a minimum! Enjoy your weekend everyone and fingers crossed the weather remains better as it has been here today.

Just as an aside emsjune78, my OH is also originally from Redditch. He'll be very pleased to know there's another escapee! :D

I've still got loads of products to add to my list, I keep finding them in the bathroom! I have a few splutterers there so will sit down tonight and add them to my list.

Count me IN (for more than one month lol!

I'm not too bad anymore - it's mostly shampoos, make-up, perfumes and body butters that I need to use up! :rotfl:

A couple of years ago I decided to ditch the showergel for good ole soap. It lasts longer, is cheaper, can be better for your skin, and isn't surrounded by plastic!
Normally I get a pack of five from the pound shop which lasts me a very long time, even when used everyday! Save the little bits you get at the end to make a new bar :)

A tip for deodrant would be to use 'salt of the earth' stick. It is expensive to buy, but lasts for months (this depends on how often and how much you normally spend).

For the ladies - have you tried a mooncup for that TOTM? I've always wondered if it is as good as it says it is, cos I probably would save money with it, but is too expensive if it ends up being rubbish!

    My tasks are to:
    • Use less conditioner
    • Use up all the little bits of shampoo in the bottom of the bottles
    • Use, sell, or give away my many nail varnishes
    • Wear eyeshadow everyday before I have to throw the pallette away due to bacteria
    • Use, sell or give away the body butters
    • Use sell or give away the perfumes
