Dulux non drip gloss paint- I am not not going mad after all!

Did anyone else see last nights watchdog programme about the dulux non drip gloss pure brilliant white paint going yellow in a matter of weeks?
If you didn't you can watch it here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/watchdog/2012/03/dulux.html
Anyway was after for some experts in the painting and decorating trade to give me some advice basically.
Unfortunatley for me, I decorated our whole flat using this pure brilliant white non drip gloss paint this time last year... So ended up painting the front and back of 11 doors as well as all skirting boards etc
I thought I was going mad when I thought it had started to yellow... clearly not!! On the back of my sons door today, I noticed that where his dressing gown has been, the paint has compeltley yellowed, literally into the shape of a dressing gown! Inside of cupoards have also yellowed really badly but to be honest, the white is looking more like cream every where in the flat, even rooms that have had sunshine and are less suseptiaple (sp?) to the yellowing effect (supposedly!)
Rung dulux customer services today, and she said with receipts they can resolve the problem and they would send out a form for me to fill in... no problem I thought, hopefully will get a few tins of free paint, then over the afternoon I have become more and more annoyed about it, because we spent probably 3 or more whole days sat painting gloss work (painting gloss is not fun, nor is waiting for it to dry!), and I was convinced we had not done something properly, hense the yellowing, I am reallly annoyed to find out that dulux have known about the problem since 2010 and failed to do anything - this issue could have been totally prevented! I feel myself and everyone helping us paint our whole flat has totally wasted their time, even more annoyed that I have actually paid money for this carp paint!!!
Does anyone have any experiences of how dulux have resolved the same issue? And does anyone know how much I should be asking for in compensation? To be honest, I wasnt too bothered until I thought about the actual time spent painting with the gloss. Any painters and decorators able to give an estimate of how long it would take/how much it would cost to fully gloss a relatively big 2 bed flat incl all skirting boards, window sills, door frames, and the front and back of 11 doors(think our flat is almost 80m2 in size)
Thanks in advance.

All my gloss work has to be redone around 3 times a year. This happens no matter which brand I use to be honest. I don't know why it does this yellowing after a few weeks. It is a constant pain. I wish I had just used silk emulsion in the first place. Too late though when the gloss is on :A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

i used some to paint the walls in the flat and i brought white but it came out creamy(coulour) after a week or so didnt complain cause it did make the flat look a bit better and i thought it was the lightReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0

Jumblejack, you gloss three times a year! When do you get time for baking??0

DH is a painter, use egg shell paint ours stay white for years. As for how much it will cost to get it done again would probably take about 4 days because of the drying time & cost would depend on the going daily rate in your part of the country0

All white gloss starts to yellow after a while,it's horrible stuff lol Use eggshell or satin instead -nice and white and it doesn't look as tacky as gloss doesIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0

Nope much help no but.....
I use Satin wood, it is not as tough/hard wearing as gloss but doesn't yellow & I think it gives a nicer finish. Make sure it's oil based though as I have found the water base onto chip & Mark really easily. If my posts have random wrong words, please blame the damn autocorrect not me0 -
No idea what paint OH used when our bedroom was decorated, but 15 years later, it's still pure white.0

I had exactly the same issue and I too thought I was going mad until I googled it just before the Watchdog episode aired.
I've emailed Dulux today as we have completely refurbished our house and used their Gloss for pretty much all skirting boards throughout- will see what they come back with.
Other forums seem to be suggesting the small claims court as the best way to get a result.0 -
What a relief to see this is not my imagination - had decorators do the doors as they were yellowy and in about a fortnight the nice white gloss was yellow - no recepits though as they supplied the paint, but I do have the remians in the tinsYou never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow0

Since you had decorators do it and presumably paid them go back to them and ask them about it. They supplied the paint so they are the ones who need to complain/try to rectify it.0
